“Gorgeous view and very relaxing”
This villa is very good value for money. What it lacks in not being all 5 star it makes up for in view. We stayed for 6 nights over Christmas. We loved the pool and the outdoor seated area, and swimming in the sea off the rocks at the end of the garden. Because the villa is directly on the water the view is amazing - breezes, views of rocky islands and boats passing by. The bedrooms are comfortable - more like 4 star then 5 (some of the furniture is getting a bit worn). The bathrooms let the property down most - they could do with a repaint and one of the shower heads needed repairing. But considering how little time we spent in the bathrooms and how much time we spent in the outdoor area and pool - this did not worry us. It is just good to know if you are looking for the whole 5 star experience. Like other reviewers we found the staff to be very attentive, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice and the meals cooked at the villa were fresh and tasty. We ate out at Vincent's and Bali asli - both were great. We also did snorkeling at the wreck and blue lagoon. Overall both Candidasa and Villa Gita are a lovely find. We have spent a lot of time in Seminkay and Ubud before and wanted something different and more peaceful. We certainly found it!
Just a note to thank you very much for a delightful stay at Villa Gita. The Villa itself is just beautiful with the magnificent view and luxurious settings, we did not want to leave, and wish we had more time. We have never stayed in Candidasa before and were delightfully surprised by its quietness. We would like to acknowledge the wonderful staff you have working for you. Please pass on our thanks again to all the staff for making our stay very special. The level of service was not expected and we were very grateful for all their assistance in all aspects of our stay. We had many lunches and dinners prepared for us and the food was delicious! We would love to come back again and will be telling anyone else thinking of staying in Candidasa. Thanks also to you for your assistance over email, it was a pleasure to stay at your Villa.
“Cita Villas Bali”
This is a new facillity in a beautifull seaside location. the perfect place to holliday for a lovely time. Chandadasa has all the facilities with out the hassel of legian. The staff are charming and eager to meet your every request, they are just slendid. Highly recommended
Somehow this place didn't click for us. Value for money wasn't quite there. We'd stayed at two other villas - one less expensive and one more expensive and both were far superior to Villa Gita. Staff were capable but felt like everything we asked, needed was a struggle. Mess up with the driver picking us up meant we arrived 4 hours later than planned on first day. That set the tone for the visit. Everything was offered than told an extra charge. Started to feel like we were being 'nickel & dimed' for everything. Rooms are good, view is great (right on the ocean), pool is great but getting to the villa an ordeal (bumpy dirt road). New villa being built beside us so construction banging started at 8 am daily. Took a shower and could see the workmen on the other side of the wall. So much for privacy.
“Fantastic Villa - Fantastic Staff - Marginal Location”
Villa Gita is a beautiful place to stay and very enjoyable place to relax. The staff was exceptional and the cost of food was very reasonable. The town of Candidasa was an easy walk and there were lots of restaurants and shops along its one road but be aware of the vehicle traffic. The only downside I need to mention is that most of the site we wanted to see like the "Mother Temple", the shipwreck of the USS Liberty etc. were 1.5 to 2 hours drive each direction. This meant that we spent a lot of time in the car.
