Description

A pretty detached single storey holiday lodge, with both shared and private garden.The lodge is cosy, self-contained and tastefully furnished.

Adjacent to our property Meadow Cottage, situated right in the heart of Loddon, a small market town on the river Chet.

Please note we have some low beams in the property and parking is in the Loddon Staith car park at a rate of £3 per day, free after 6pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Twenty minutes from the city of Norwich, airport, and train station, access to the Southern Broads and just a short journey to the coast, we are ideally located for exploring all that the region has to offer.

Heron Lodge is self contained studio accommodation has a double bedroom, shower room and a small kitchenette equipped with fridge, microwave, hob plate, toaster and kettle. Also equipped with TV/DVD. Bed linen and towels are provided, and also included are electricity & heating. There is also a small fenced patio area in front of the accommodation.

We cater for guests wishing to stay on a self-catering basis, and welcome up to two well-behaved dogs. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits meet your arrival.

Loddon boasts an excellent butcher, deli & café, vintage tearooms, twice monthly Farmers Market, Medium sized Co-op supermarket, newsagent, several pubs, and takeaways, a chemist and Barclays bank, access to the southern tip of the Broads from Loddon and day boats are available to hire. There are also some great walks and cycling routes around Loddon taking you along the Broads via The Wherryman's Way.

20 minutes away in Norwich there is something for everyone, with museums, shopping, theatre, Catherdral, Castle and many resturants. country walks to name but a few. There are many fine local country pubs, offering excellent food, and we would be pleased to share our knowledge of the area, and recommend places of interest to our guests.

We would ask guests to refrain from smoking within the property, but guests are more than welcome to smoke in the outside areas.

“Lovely cottage, beautiful surroundings, delightful family.”

I stayed here with my 2 young daughters and my husband. We were made to feel very welcome by the family owners who showed us to this lovely cottage through their private gates from the high street and down to a beautiful garden. The local shops were on the doorstep, as was a nice tea room.The property is just over the road from the lovely river and mill. The family were friendly and helpful and we were able to come and go as we pleased, but were also very comfortable staying where we were. Our 2 daughters loved playing in the large garden and were very happy to play with the owners dogs and delightful children when they were around. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a lovely home from home. We couldn't have asked for more.
