Description

Welcome to LIthia. Villa Myrtia is one of 3 self-catering houses along with Villa Levanda and Villa Elia. It sleeps 5 people. It is a charming house with an antique brass double bed ( 140cms/4'6'') on the upper ground floor with a galley kitchen and bathroom. It has 2 balconies for outside dining. One facing the old windmills , the other to the garden and fields in the distance. The lower ground floor has 2 single beds and a traditional island stone couch-bed and a bathroom. There is a pool for the 3 houses. WiFi in all the houses and at the pool. Lithia is 10-15 minutes walk from the main village of Chora, said to be one of the prettiest villages in the Cyclades. Folegandros is a hidden gem in the Aegean, it has remained unspoilt by commercial tourism and still retains the atmosphere of a by-gone age. You can still see the farmers ploughing the fields with mules and oxen and using donkeys instead of cars. It is a stunning lsland with dramatic cliffs and wonderful views. The air is pristine and in Springtime it is covered in a technicolour blanket of wild flowers. For many years it has been a very popular island with hill-walkers and artists alike. The beaches are lovely,each with its own identity, some sandy some pebbly.Some are accessible by car, some by boat and some only on foot so the choice is yours. The wonderfully clear blue Aegean sea is ideal for snorkelling. There is a bus service stopping outside the main gate which goes to the village and Agali beach plus the quaint north village of Ano Meria. We are happy to help with car/bike rental and any other questions you may have.
