We are as often chosen for couples wanting a little special time out as by families ( and out of school and public holidays we offer a reduction for just a couple)

We offer 2 night short breaks in January, 3 and 4 night short breaks January to Easter and October to Christmas and 7 night stays or longer all year round. If you can see a space in our availability chart ( or a short stay gap in summer ) but not a price please ask!

We have four bedrooms so sleeping up to 6 ( two double and two single rooms) and the cottage is quietly set in a small rural hamlet but there are neighbours so its private but not isolated .

We are unusually comprehensively equipped , the kitchen has all you could need and has a flatscreen TV/DVD player , plus there is flatscreen Satellite TV with DVD in the sitting room ( and flatscreen TV/DVD in all four bedrooms as well) .Due to new superfast internet access during winter 2016/7 we will move to upgraded internet TV

Superfast WiFi internet access for your own devices is included in the rental .We have , 2 Ipod docks.

We have two sparkling bathrooms( one upstairs with bathtub one downstairs with walk in shower) . Romantic bedsteads, lavendered Egyptian linens, towels all included .

There is full central heating , cosy woodburner and logs are available ( extra cost) year round.

We even have a visiting beauty therapist and a fully qualified hairdresser who can offer a huge range of relaxing treatments on site by arrangement. We can arrange a visiting chef who can also fill your freezer.

A well behaved pet is welcome - usually this means dogs in this superb walking area with brilliant walks from the doorstep and Offas Dyke. The Wales Coastal Path and the Wye Valley Walk all very nearby . Our garden is fenced and we have a bowl and a muddy paws towel iff you forget your own.

(But we have stabling for your horse nearby too and the hacking/trail riding is also exceptional.)

We offer whole weeks and also 2, 3 and 4 night short breaks at some times of year ( please e mail for our prices which are very difficult to show in full on this site) .

At Christmas and New Year the cottage is fully decorated even with a tree fresh from the local forests.

The area is great because things are open all year round . There is excellent walking right from the doorstep , amazing golf( 20 good courses including Ryder Cup Wales 2010 within a one hour driving radius approx ), We offer great eating ( everything from a pub to Michelin stars) , castles, canoeing, geocaching, mountain biking , birdwatching , walking,- and sleeping- we are perfect for just chilling out.!

Response from the owner We are really sorry and a little suprised to hear these things. We were aware thar the WiFi failed. We had to complain repeatedly to British Telecom and it took them over a week to fix the problem on their line. We did immediately refund the WiFi charge and apologise to the guests but despite daily chasing we could not get a faster repair. This was out of our control unfortunately. We have not had any issues before or since with the large new tumble drier and no difficulty was reported to us at the time. We do have a spare one had we heard about any problem. Happily, and as our guest says, the weather was good and we do have a rotary washing line plus an indoor drying rack with heating panel in our laundry room. These guests were with us in early June. At that time of the year our included central heating is set to come on if the temperature indoors falls below 20C from 6 30 am to 10 am, 19C all day and then 20 again from 5pm to 11pm. We have a woodburner for use by guests if this is not enough as everyones tastes in heat do vary so greatly. We are readily available to our guests as we see to the hot tub on a daily basis and in this case chatted with the guests on arrival and several times during their stay but sadly none of this apart from the WiFi matter and some minor damage by the guests was reported to us. We would have tried to help had we known.
