Description
In this typical cave house of Andalusia, located in the middle of the country. There is one double bed easy to reach from the open space living-dinner room. There is a single fixed sofa bed next to the fire place. I recommend this cave-house for couples who are looking for a special romantic place. It is also nice for small family with a child or a baby.
In our small charming resort you would also enjoy the Arabic bath, masages and treatments.
We have a small restaurant and a bar where you can also have breakfast, lunch or dinner. You can choose those services and confirm hours, prices directly calling or emailing before your arrival. If you prefer you can opt for one of those possibilities during your stay.
You can enjoy our swimming pool whenever you want during the day until from the end of May to the end of September.
From Cuevas Al Jatib, which is located in the middle of the country side, there are a lot of possibilities for horsing, trekking and cycling.
20´far away from the caves you can surround Jabalcón hill by the north front. From that place you have stunning panoramic views, for one side of the “bad lands”, which represent characteristic sceneries of our region, and for the other side, red and ochre canyons, reflecting in the turquoise water of Negratín Lake. This lake is also located 20´ far away from the caves. In its banks you can find 4 restaurants and admire amazing sunsets from them. When good weather is coming, you can rent canoes, kayaks or hydro pedals in the second restaurant after the dam and go to several small islands.
20´ far away from the caves you can discover the Natural Park of Sierra de Baza and go hiking through beautiful paths until the indigenous pines of “Prado del Rey” and finish your trip in Narvaez restaurant for a drink.
40´far away from the caves is located a picturesque village named Castril. From his Natural Interpretation Center you can penetrate in an exciting path along the river and cross the valley via a hanged bridge…You can also going up cross the mountain on another path until the river source where you would enjoy an amazing bath in the cold water under the waterfall.
30´far away from the caves you can see Orce, a typical county village, which keeps in its museum rests (tiny rests) of the first European man and some tigers with sable tooth.
30´ far away from the caves you can go through the bigger megalithic park in Europe, next to the troglodytic village of Gorafe.
In Baza, you can visit its little cathedral, the most ancient Arabic bath conserved in Spain, the museum and Interpretation Center dedicated to the Iberian culture. And if you want to have a drink and “tapas” in Baza, here you are some nice places we recommend to:

We are located 1h far away from Granada and the Alhambra by the motorway, 1h30 from the ski slopes in Sierra Nevada, 50´ from Puerto de la Ragua, where you can practice cross country skiing, 1h15´from Vera beaches and 1h45´from Natural park beaches of Cabo de Gata.

“Cuevas Al Jatib Absolutely Superb Holiday”
Me and my wife stayed at Cuevas Al Jatib for 11 nights can honestly say it was excellent if you want a relaxing different sort of holiday away from the hustle and bustle this is the place for you. The cave house was stunning had all the facilities needed for our stay, nice and cool in the hot weather. Bar, restaurant had a great menu. Pool area was lovely and very clean. All the staff were really lovely and friendly even though we speak no spainish. Scenery around Baza is stunning. Overall l think we had the best holiday and can't wait to return next year. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
