Description
Herne is one of three cottages comprising Hendre House Cottages. The cottages are managed by Andy and Michelle Reason who live on site. Andy and Michelle have painstakingly and lovingly renovated the holiday cottages and the indoor swimming pool to a high standard, installed a BBQ cabin, a hot tub/spa and a playground to make Herne Cottage ideal for family breaks and a place you will want to visit again and again!
Herne Cottage is set in a peaceful location close to the Pembrokeshire coast and the famous Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with its many sandy beaches (both Whitesands Bay and Newgale beaches are only a short drive away).
The cottage sleeps 4, has a courtyard garden with table and chairs and logstore complete with supplies. On the ground floor is an open plan kitchen (with dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, oven, hob and microwave) lounge with log burner, Freeview TV and DVD player and dining area and on the first floor the main bedroom (double bed), second bedroom (bunk beds, full singles), bathroom with full bath and shower. Each of our cottages has free Wi-Fi.

“What a find!”
From the moment of arrival when you pass through the wonderful stone pillars made from welsh stones, drive down the long banked drive full of beautiful wildflowers you will know you have picked well. The cottage is superbly presented, exceptionally well maintained, and immaculately clean. The additional facilities of a pool and jacuzzi/hot tub take the whole experience to a new level. We had a great time. All the information you need is available inside the cottage but if you feel the need to ask the owners are very approachable and welcoming. Very highly recommended if you want a beautiful, quiet and relaxing visit to Pembrokeshire.

“Beautiful home from home plus”
As an older couple we found the location to be what we hoped for - a quiet oasis while recognising that during school hols it would be a lively environment with plenty of things for families to do. We car toured the coastline and found it all very attractive. The "plus" in the title was the ability to have a log burner fire in the evening - not needed for heat as there is a very efficient heating system - but visually enjoyable. A blast from the past for us. Hosts MIchelle and Andy appeared on the first day and then melted into the background, but we knew they were there if we needed them. The eating out potential was unimaginative for us but no doubt it met the needs of the wider community. We used the excellent pool daily and read one of the library books from the "shed" - the onsite resource centre with many CDs, games and books for a wet day or two, though our September weather was excellent.We have no doubts that we will sometime make a return trip. Thank you Michelle and Andy for your vision and taste in making available such lovely 5 star accommodation.

“Amazing cottage”
We stayed here for a week in April and had a lovely stay in Herne cottage. It has everything you could need and is very comfortable. You even have an indoor swimming pool and hot tub between three cottages which means it is usually empty so you get the feeling it is your own which is amazing, our 9 month old baby loved splashing around and playing with all the toys in the massive toy box on the pool edge. There is also a shed full of dvds (quite a lot new releases and the rest really decent movies) and books and games which was great for us with having the baby who really likes his sleep The location is great being in the countryside and close to solva. There are many places to visit around Pembrokeshire and going into cardigan (seeing the seals on a boat trip to Ramsay island and again by cardigan island was a real highlight!) I would defiantly stay again and recommend to anyone!
