Description
Our resident Pin-tailed Whydah invites you to its little piece of paradise. Kommetjie Villa is located in Klein Slangkop Private Eco Estate bordered by beaches and Table Mountain National Park. The estate has 3 gates allowing private access onto a pristine white sand public beach. The Villa is tucked into the back corner for total privacy, a 750 metre stroll to the beach.
The estate has its own nature trail through fynbos to a spectacular lookout point and is a bird watchers' paradise. The Villa itself has breath taking views of the Constantiaberg Mountains and from upstairs, a view of the sea.
The Villa is beautifully decorated with South African art and has a luxury feel with huge leather couches, percale linen, granite counter tops in kitchen and bathrooms and Hans Grohe fittings. The kitchen boasts an enormous fridge, 5 burner gas hob, 4 plate electric induction hob, extra-large SMEG oven and is fully equipped.
The Villa has 3 bedrooms (king, queen and twin beds), 3 bathrooms and an overflow queen bed on the upstairs landing for extra children/teenagers. (Please note as the communal area is not private this queen bed is more often used for children.) The communal area also has a cot.
Relax out of the wind on the frameless glass enclosed wrap around veranda, plunge into the 10 metre pool or in winter, cosy up in front of our Scan fireplace. The Villa lends itself to entertaining with the large open plan kitchen flowing onto the dining area, lounge and veranda. There is an outside braai (BBQ) pit and Weber BBQ and the foldaway doors turn the lounge, veranda and garden into one huge space. And the piano, board games and huge numbers of books add to an enjoyable relaxing holiday. Free Wi-Fi uncapped and full premium DSTV (satellite TV) is included.
The estate has 24 hour security and continuous patrols by guards on bicycles. Children play and cycle in the streets.
The Villa is serviced twice weekly and linen changed once a week.
The owners live next door and are on hand for queries or tourism advice if needed but otherwise our guests enjoy complete privacy and are left undisturbed. Shops and restaurants are nearby. Guests can organise spectacular horse rides onto the beach from our neighbouring farm. Easy access to Cape Point, Boulders Beach (with the penguins) and numerous surfing and swimming beaches. Mountain bike trails in the area. Owner is a licensed paraglider and keen surfer. 45 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. We are dog friendly by prior arrangement and the garden is fully enclosed.
