Set in a quiet but central Lisbon area, our apartment is nearby the "Viewpoint Senhora do Monte" and situated less than 1 minute of the famous "Tram nº 28" that runs through the old, historical and most traditional neighborhoods of Lisbon, "Graça". The building where Upper Lisbon is set is from the early twentieth century, renovated in 2014, but with its soul well preserved where all the old ornamentation still resides so that our guests can experience the true spirit of "Living it Lisbon"
Upper Lisbon is a Guesthouse located in the historic center of Lisbon just a few minutes from the famous "Senhora do Monte Viewpoint". Set on a centennial building, it offers bright and comfortable rooms with free WiFi access. Room have double or twin beds and guests have access to 2 SHARED BATHROOMS.
Featuring crafted ceilings and high walls, Upper Lisbon is situated on a quiet area of Lisbon with easy access to transportation. The common lounge features a TV and opens to a pleasant terrace where guests can relax.
Guests have a shared kitchen at their disposal where they can prepare light meals. In addition guests will find plenty of dining options within walking range which include traditional Portuguese and international cuisine.
The famous Tram 28 stops by less than 1-minute walk away. The scenic São Jorge Castle is 1 km away and the historical Alfama neighbourhood is a 10-minute walk away. The lively Bairro Alto, Lisbon’s prime nightlife area is 2 km away. Lisbon International Airport is 6 km away.
Since 2015 Portugal has more strictly enforced a long-standing law requiring anyone providing paid holiday accommodation to record the entry, exit, and identification details of all non-Portuguese nationals who use that accommodation. This law has been brought into force in Portugal and most other EU countries at some point since the gradual implementation of the 1990 Schengen Agreement that aims to stop human trafficking and other illegal practices. In this case, it is specifically Article 45 of the Schengen Agreement and the recent Alojamento Local law in Portugal that has brought this rule into sharper focus.
The governing body that monitors the movement of foreigners is SEF (Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras or the Immigration and Borders Service).
