The apartment building is located in a renovated historical building overlooking the Douro River at the heart of the historic center of Porto between the monumental Customs Congress Center and the Ribeira area that is declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Rabelo apartment is a newly refurbished one bedroom apartment on the 2º floor, perfect for 2 guests, providing an extremely cozy, elegantly furnished and relaxed atmosphere.
It is guaranteed to be an unforgettable travelling experience since from the apartment kitchen and lounge window you have a unique and magnificent panoramic view overlooking the Rabelo boats navigating the river Douro and Vila Nova de Gaia, where the wine warehouses of notable Port Wine companies are located.
The Rabelo boat is a traditional Portuguese boat, which for centuries held the job of transporting people and goods along the river Douro. It is native of the Douro region; it exists nowhere else in the world. Its history is closely linked to the production and trade of Port Wine. Although no longer in use, we can still admire these graceful vessels belonging to Port Wine Companies on the banks of the River Douro, in the cities of Porto and Gaia.
Due to its excellent location the Rabelo apartment at the riverfront is perfect for exploring the historical center, it is surrounded by cafes and shops that make this area one of the main tourist areas of the city. Here everything is accessible within a short walk to the main tourist attractions of the city located within a 15 minute walk, the Church of San Francisco, São Bento Station, Avenue of the Allies, Porto Cathedral, etc.., and within walking distance to Gaia/ Port caves.
Animation during the day and night gives the Ribeira and the surrounding areas a unique touch of history, tradition, excitement and beauty.
You just need the time and curiosity to see what the city has to show .... either for a few days, a weekend or a week.
