Interaction with guest

The cottage has its own driveway and garden and is very private. We will meet you on arrival and show you around and then leave you in peace but if anything is required we are in the house on the other side of the garden including local information, where the nearest pub is etc.

“Wonderful Views, Cottage and Hosts”

Reviewed 17 Sep 2020

My daughter, myself and two grandchildren arrived mid afternoon and were warmly greeted by Janet and Mike.....lovely, friendly hosts who were available if needed. Mike kindly offered to take the 9 and 15 year old target shooting in the grounds and this was one of the highlights of their stay. The cottage is well equipped and towels are provided, which is a bonus in self catering places. A powerful hot shower and comfy beds made for a blissful night’s sleep. The gardens and views are great and it was so lovely to sit and relax in such peaceful surroundings. My daughter’s second visit and my first......and we’ll be back again. Thank you, Jess, Andrea, Ellie and Harry

“Lovely peaceful cottage”

Reviewed 1 Sep 2020

Beautiful cottage in Ursk, honestly don't think we have ever been somewhere so quiet and relaxing. The cottage is really well maintained with the original features and extention blending in well to give some modern updates in the form of the kitchen and bathroom. The facilities have everything you need to be self catering and the shower is powerful and lovely. The stairs take a bit of getting use to but there is a hand rail and they make a lovely original feature. Free WiFi in the property which is a nice touch and full use of the area for walks etc. We went exploring one day up the back into the woods and neighbouring areas it was really lovely and picturesque. The cottage has a hottub which was lovely after a long walk, the views from the hot tub were amazing. The only downside is that your restricted on the use of it to the hours of 10 till 9pm which was disappointing as we'd have liked to use it more later in the evening but its locked so you can't. Also asked that you only have the jets on for one hour a day so we found this limited the use of it completely and we didnt end up using it as much as we'd planned. Fully understand the reason that was explained but wish we'd known before we booked and arrived as the hot tub was the main selling point for us. Not sure if you can use it at all now or they were removing it from the listing so check before you book. The owners were very lovely and polite and made us feel very welcome and at home so for a relaxing and quiet escape this is the perfect place. Can't attach photos as my files are too big but I had some amazing photos of the view and cottage.
