Description
This 100 square meters house is in a small square in the heart of the medieval city centre which is perched on a hill overlooking the new town. The house has two bedrooms with a double bed and one bedroom with two single beds. two bathrooms, a living room with a sofa bed which can be used a a bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and two balconies with an open view on Ventimiglia and the surrounding hills. The living room and the kitchen have a large flat TV where you can watch foreign channels. The house, which is furnished with antique furniture, all modern appliances and a centralized heating, has been recently renovated. Towels and bed sheets are provided as well as free wi-fi Internet access. Parking is about 200 hundred meters from the house. Shops and restaurants are a short walk from the house. The beaches are also a few hundred meters away. The medieval quarter of Ventimiglia is the second largest in the Liguria region after Genoa. This part has beautiful churches and narrow winding streets where people actually live and is not ruined by modern cafe's bars and tourist shops, Ventimiglia has a friday market with 500 stalls and one the most beautiful seaside gardens (Villa Hanbury built by the British) in northern Italy. Queen Victoria was among the illustrious guests of Villa Hanbury in 1882. During the summer there are several festivals dedicated to the medieval past or to the local food. Ventimiglia is just a few kilometers away from the French border and the many attractions of the Cote d'Azur. Montecarlo is half an hour away. Besides the beaches in Ventimiglia there are plenty of seaside resorts on the Italian and French side a short distance away. The Val Roja and the Val Nervia with unspoiled landscapes and the pictoresque villages of Airole, Dolceaqua, Apricale, Pigna etc.etc. are 10-20 minutes driving away. The high val Nervia is part of the Regional Natural Park of the Ligurian Alps and although so close to the sea, offers one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Alps. CITRA: 008065-LT-0225
