Description: Cottage in the countryside in a charming village of the Bessin, easy access (4 lanes - RN13) between CAEN - BAYEUX AND THE SEA. 10 Km from the sea and the landing beaches 15 km from Bayeux (tapestry, porcelain museum ...) - fast axis 17 Km from Caen (memorial, museums ...) - fast axis 5 km from shops Home French and in English detached house comprising a living room with open kitchen, bathroom with shower and toilet, two bedrooms upstairs (one double, 2 singles). Court and Garden Equipment: dishes and cutlery, cooking utensils, refrigerator with freezer on top, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle, vacuum cleaner, iron Multimedia: TV - DVD player Internet access WIFI outdoor equipment: garden furniture overlooking the village and garden more photographs on request by email enclosed private parking house no smoking - no pets please contact us preferably by phone, there is still availability for the summer period!

“A great place to stay in Normandy”
We have just spent a lovely week here at Coulombs. Our host Paul speaks good English, so if your French is not as good as you would like, or non existent, there is no need to worry! The Gite was very clean and contains pretty much everything you need. The gas hob and oven is easy to use, a microwave for quick dinners, and a dishwasher too! The lounge is spacious, Large fridge, with a small freezer gave us plenty of space for all our french food purchases! A Tv and DVD PLAYER too. There is much mention of internet issues in other reviews, but we had no issues and had a great internet connection anywhere in the Gite The two bedrooms are spacious and plenty of cupboard/storage space , with all bedding and linen provided by our host The downstairs shower and toilet was clean and tidy and towels are provided also The local village at Creully has two bakeries and is only 5-10 minutes away The very large LeClerc supermarket at Bayeux is only 15 minutes away on the N13, and served us well The LeClerc Petrol station is 500 m from the supermarket However it only takes payment by card. (USE a SEPARATE bank card when paying for fuel . ONLY HAVE ENOUGH MONEY ON THE CARD TO COVER FOR THE AMOUNT YOU WANT TO PAY If you have money on the card, the pump will TAKE IT ALL FOR 48 hrs! This could leave you with no money!) Access to the road system N13 is quick and easy and Cherbourg and Ouistraham are easy. Ouistraham is only 30 minutes away D-Day beaches and museums are all easily reached and within 50 minutes or less All in all , a great place to stay , with a friendly host. Thank you Paul

“Gite in Coulombs”
This gite is conveniently located between Caen and Bayeux in easy reach of the beaches.The property is detached from the main house and situated in beautiful gardens. The owner speaks good English and he was very welcoming and accessible. We were provided with all necessities for a self catering stay for four adults. Highly recommended but note that there are several steps to access the property and bedrooms are upstairs with a downstairs bathroom.
