Description

Just 10 minutes from Belfast City Centre, Situated on a private lane, this modern home offers 4 large bedrooms. The house has 3 bathrooms, large kitchen, a conservatory, and a dining room where you can chill out. Free Wi-fi, breakfast, it doesn't get much better than this. You will have full access to the house, just as if it were your own! We will provide you with 2 keys and lots of help if you need it.However, this is our home and we love sharing it, but we also want you to respect it! You can cook, drink and celebrate with friends and family....... Only those that are booked to stay in the house can stay in the house. We definitely don't entertain wild all night parties while inviting everyone in the bar to come back. Common sense prevails here!

“Great host, disappointing accommodation”

Firstly, I have to review our host Mark. Mark was a fantastic host, nothing was too much trouble. He even offered to walk our dog. Somehow we damaged the door key and mark had no issues with this. Friendly and helpful (booking taxis for us). Secondly, the accommodation. On arrival we were wooed on entering the house, sparkle lights set the ambiance, spacious rooms with plenty of areas for us all. Unfortunately, on a closer look we were all disappointed. The house was not clean, the kitchen was terribly dirty, we even had to wash mugs before using them. There are stains on the carpets (especially lounge and secret bedroom). The house was described as luxurious but it was far from it. There was wall paper peeling or even missing from areas. Some lamps didn’t work. A shower didn’t work and we had no hot water. On reporting shower and water to Mark he arranged for a plumber who temp fixed the lack of hot water but the shower was not going to be fixed until after we left. As stated the house was dirty, we stayed during the covid-19 pandemic therefore we would have expected a deep clean after previous guests but this definitely did not happen. The outside area was great for the evenings but a good power wash is in need as the paving slabs etc are extremely dirty. There was expanding foam filling gaps around the house, even at front door threshold. Cobwebs under lamps, there was an extractor fan filled with dirt. Tiles missing from window. As Good As It Gets, could be better. Some TLC, decorated in places and a good thorough spring clean is definitely in order. Unfortunately we didn’t find it luxurious therefore didn’t think it was worth what we paid.

“More than we ever expected !”

We stayed in this wonderful home when we attended our son’s Belfast Wedding. A large family group (11 of us!) found everything we could have wanted including an attentive and helpful host that went above and beyond to ensure a seamless stay. This place is truly a gem in the crown of Belfast.

You left me a glowing review in the guest book in the house and your brother wrote me 2 emails to thank me for a perfect week end and saying the house was fantastic. Breakfast is not provided when renting the house, i simply left you some items such as tea/coffee, cereals and breads to get you going. You had ample time and opportunity to message or call me if there was an issue. I certainly disagree with many of your views on this review. We have 213, 4-5 star reviews from another booking website. Again i am very confused.

“Fantastic stay”

Mark, the owner, was very welcoming and thoughtful (roaring fire lit for us on arrival). Beautiful house with everything available you could need. Approx 10 mins in taxi to city centre, which was around £10 fare, Will definitely be visiting again.
