Description

Upthorpe Lodges is a place where guests can totally relax, with a luxury hot tub and plenty of home comforts. Furnished and equipped to a very high standard, Birch Lodge was stylishly decorated and finished in 2016. The south-facing aspect captures all the daytime sun in this, one of the sunniest spots in the UK. A Smart TV allows online viewing with Netflix included, and the bedroom has a king-size bed. The large shower has the latest design of over-head and adjustable shower heads, and the kitchen has enough to keep the keenest of cooks happy.

All four lodges at Upthorpe Lodges include a luxury hot tub, and each lodge sits in its own private garden.

The bedroom contains a king-size bed, bedside tables and a dressing table. There are roomy and easily accessible wardrobes. This room includes a bedside radio and iphone dock and a small wall-mounted tv with dvd built in.

Use of a car is recommended as we are in Suffolk countryside. However, we are close to a bus route and pick-up from our nearest train station (Thurston) can also be arranged. There are several country walks nearby and we also have cycles to borrow upon request.

We have just spent an amazing weekend at Birch Lodge our 1st there although our 2nd to Upthorpe Lodges , and it is up to the same high standard as we found on our previous visit, Ian and Debbie are the perfect hosts, nothing is to much trouble including managing to track down my favourite Jam after there previous supplier stopped stocking it, The decor and amenities are 2nd to none, the shower is amazing , the kitchen wants for nothing , the bedroom with plenty of storage and a very comfortable King Size bed with doors that open onto the spacious decking and the Fantastic Hot tub,which was well used :) :) A truly amazing venue for a quiet get away, We will be booking up again very soon,

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Ian (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
