Description
This is a large elegant and bright 2 bed-roomed apartment .( 100m2) in central Cannes . It sleeps 5. It is located in a late 19th century building on a quiet street off Boulevard Carnot. The airport bus from Nice airport stops at Place Vauban which is 3 minutes from the apartment. Cannes train station is 4 minutes walk and it is less 10 minutes walk to the main shopping areas of Cannes ,Promenade de la Croisette and the beach. There are local shops and restaurants less 5 mins from apartment.. As typical of apartments of this time all rooms are substantial and has 3 ornamental fireplaces. Ceilings are high , with deep shuttered windows and French doors leading onto a large terrace(73m2) ( which has a large dining table(see photo )and a separate seating area for early morning sun.The living and dining room floors are stripped and painted.The bedroom floors retain cool original 19th century tiles. The 2 bedrooms are large and can be used as twins or doubles. The living area is big and comfortable with a couch which can be pulled out as additional sleeping bed. The living room is bright with two large windows, TV and internet service are available. The dining room has a large table with seating for ten. The main bathroom is substantial with a relaxing bath . There is also a large walk in shower .The modern kitchen/breakfast room has a ceramic hob with full oven and grill. There is a dishwasher, large fridge freezer as well as usual kitchen appliances including an Nespresso machine.There is a separate laundry room in basement with washing machine. The central heating boiler ( gas ) is also housed in the basement.The beds are freshly dressed with linen prior to arrival. Fresh towels are available . It is recommended that you bring your own beach towels. The daily Forville market is less than 10 minutes walk. This a big ,active covered market that takes up a full long block ( see 2 photos ) with local fruit, vegetables ,cheese ,meat and fish. A flower market is at the west end of the covered area. Whether you are buying or browsing you know you are in another world. Hop on the train ( minutes away ) to Monaco, Menton and even the Italian Riviera For the serious walker there are a number of graded , signposted walks a short distance With Grasse just 30 minutes away and Provence on your door step you are ideally placed to explore the wonders of the region.There are at least 3 golf courses within a 15 minute drive from the apartment. .Reasonable daily rates also make it accessible to families,
