Description

La Ferme is a large yet comfortable timber framed house that sleeps 10. It was built in the 17th and 18th centuries, and has been carefully restored to be ready to welcome you.

Warm and friendly, it is a perfect accommodation for two families or a large group of friends.

On the ground floor: large kitchen, dining room and large lounge. On the first and second floors: 5 charming bedrooms including a childrens' bed and play room. There are 2 bathrooms and three WCs plus a large day room/library with a sofa-bed.

Four of the rooms can be organised with separate single beds.? Each property is self contained and there is plenty of room for cars within the grounds.

The property is self contained with all you need for self catering as well as TV and free WiFi, garden furniture and barbecues. There is ample private parking in quiet, private grounds. The proximity to the old port in Honfleur gives easy access to shops, restaurants and galleries as well as the Saturday morning market. You will not need your car in Honfleur. The house is just a 10 mn walk.

The house share an entrance with another house on the property, La Bergerie. The gate is close to La Ferme but the two houses are well separated and each house has its own private ground.

There's a greenhouse and a vegetable garden which is private, but we are happy to give you some salads or other vegetable if possible.

If you want to explore the area, a car is essential even if you can take buses to the main towns like Trouville/Deauville, Caen or Le Havre. You can ask at the coach station in Honfleur. But if you want to see the countryside or the D-Day beaches, it's best to go by car.

Je suis heureuse que vous ayez apprécié le temps passé en famille dans la propriété et que les maisons vous aient plu, j'ai pris beaucoup de soin à la décoration et l'équipement des gîtes afin de rendre le séjour de mes hôtes le plus agréable possible. Je suis d'autant plus désolée que vous n'ayez as été satisfait des équipements de jardin. Il est bien dommage que vous ne m'en ayez pas parlé durant les deux semaines de votre séjour, j'aurais fait le nécessaire pour remédier à ce problème, je suis vraiment navrée car je suis toujours prête à écouter mes hôtes et à répondre à leurs demandes. Cependant, afin que les informations soient complètes, il me semble nécessaire de mentionner que le jardin est aussi équipé de deux salons de jardin Maisons du Monde, l'un à la Ferme et l'autre à la Bergerie qui ont été achetés il y a un an et en parfait état. Les chaises longues en teck prennent un aspect grisé avec le temps, mais pour les transats en tissu, je vous promets que je les changerai d'ici l'été prochain. Pour l'entretien du jardin, je peux vous assurer que j'y attache une grande importance. Cependant, nous avons eu un été exceptionnellement sec cette année ce qui ne facilite pas notre tâche. Et cela n'a pas arrangé l'espace sous la gloriette effectivement car l'utilisation de la table et des chaises qui y sont placées, c'est un espace très utilisé. Je vous remercie d'avoir choisi mes gîtes pour votre séjour à Honfleur et je prends bien sûr en compte toutes vos remarques.
