Description

South Downs View, at Springfield in West Sussex, is a peaceful, comfortable studio flat over garage that we call 'THE FOG'.

The FOG is situated on a pick your own fruit farm where you can enjoy visits to our family run farm shop that offers local artisan produce and a cafe serving home cooked food and speciality coffee.

The FOG is a perfect place for you to stay for a few days away in the country. So close to the South Downs it's an ideal stopover if you are taking on the challenge of walking or cycling the South downs way. All arrival and departure times are flexible and we will endeavour to make your stay as convenient and enjoyable as possible.

Ample parking is available and unless you are walking or cycling the South Downs Way it is recommended that you have your own transport. NB. We are happy to offer all Walkers or Cyclers free transport from a nearby meeting point on the Downs.

All bicycles can be secured safely overnight.

Getting around

The villages of Storrington and Steyning are less than a ten minute drive and the towns of Horsham and Worthing are both a distance of ten miles. Brighton is less than twenty miles and a trip to London by train will take you just over an hour from the nearest station. There are also many pretty villages and towns such as Amberley, Petworth, Arundel and Chichester to explore. Goodwood House and race course is also only 20 miles away.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Lisa (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
