Standing amid olive and fruit trees and occupying an idyllic location high above an unspoilt woodland valley where wild boar and deer roam, Casa di Nonnas is an old rustic farmhouse villa offering luxurious holiday rental accommodation in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. Comprising two properties, Casa di Nonnas main villa sleeps six while the adjacent converted barn, The Cherry Tree sleeps two/four.
The two properties can be booked separately or together.
Ideal for large family gatherings or groups of friends, the villa has two stepped-down infinity pools overlooking the valley beyond, large gardens with fruit trees and attractive terraces for relaxed outdoor eating.
Situated close to Pescia, and Montecatini Terme, and midway between the walled city of Lucca to the west and the region's capital, Florence to the east, Casa di Nonnas enjoys glorious views over wooded hills and beautiful hilltop villages, the scent of herbs and fruit trees filling the air in a landscape that has remained virtually unchanged for centuries.
Whether you're visiting the region's vast storehouse of cultural treasures, exploring the area on a cycling or walking holiday, or simply relaxing and enjoying the rustic charm in peace and solitude with friends or family, Casa di Nonnas is the perfect Tuscan holiday retreat.
The main villa's luxuriously appointed accommodation includes two double bedrooms (one with a four-poster bed), bathroom/shower, twin bedroom with en-suite wc, large kitchen, utility room and lounge. The Cherry Tree barn has a well-fitted kitchenette, lounge, double bedroom with four-poster bed, en-suite bathroom/shower and a lounge with comfortable pull-out double sofa bed.
Both buildings have cable television, DVD and stereo system and have fully-equipped kitchens with SMEG cooker, fridge, dishwasher and a full range of cooking utensils, crockery etc.
Outside the villa, the garden and surrounding terraces extend down through olive and fruit trees to a pair of stepped-down infinity pools which give stunning views over the wooded valley and hilltop villages beyond.
This being Italy, you'll find the Casa offers plenty of options when it comes to eating, outdoors or in – whether it's breakfast on the terrace, lunch by the pool, a barbecue or candlelit dinner – the perfect backdrop for any meal.
