Description

Les Epiceas is one of five gites on the Les Patis estate set in eight acres of private gardens. We are located in the heart of the Pays d’Auge, lower Normandy; renowned for its rolling hills, half timbered houses and gentle way of life. The area is also steeped in history and tradition. From the atrocities of WWII, to its famous gastronomic products of cheese and cider, to its many stud farms that surround the area.

Les Epiceas is a one bedroom stone cottage that has an attractive patio area that overlooks the garden and swimming pool; perfect for early morning breakfast and/or coffee. The bedroom has a double bed with an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The lounge has a sofa bed that can accommodate two small children or one adult; screens are provided for separation and privacy. Les Epiceas has an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area which includes a flat screen television with UK Freeview TV. Les Epiceas is ideal for a couple, a family with two small children or for an extended family also staying at Les Patis.

Activities at Les Patis include a large and heated communal swimming pool, ( heated 25th May - 14th Sept), with an outdoor hot tub for adults, a tennis court with basketball ring, table-tennis and bicycles to explore the local area. Fishing on our own private lake will yield large and healthy carp, tench and roach; no license is required. Additionally, guests can take a stroll within the grounds taking in the natural beauty or enjoy a leisurely picnic by the River Vie that borders Les Patis.

Pool Is only heated from 25th May to 13th September Hot tub is only available for use for 12 years of age and older The owners will greet guests upon arrival were we will give you the keys to your cottage including a quick guided tour of Les Patis and its facilities. Please feel free to ask us any questions about the local area and recommendations of where to visit. The owners live next door to Les Patis and will therefore mostly be available for any queries or problems. Please note bed linen is provided, however there is an extra charge for towels if required.

“Great French getaway”

Les Epiceas was lovely, a beautiful loft style gite, nice and cosy, with everything in there to make your stay comfortable. The grounds are stunning and very well kept(credit to Tony), the pool & hottub are just what the doctor ordered for when you’ve been out exploring for the day. The town of Vimoutiers is a picturesque little French town with lovely friendly atmosphere. Tony & Pat are lovely, they greeted us with a big smile and a friendly chat, they are great hosts and very approachable. We are already looking at a return visit in the not so distant future.
