Description

Casa da Palmeiras is a charming traditional Portuguese style villa but with modern facilities.

There are 3 bedroom -2 with single beds both with fitted wardrobes serviced by a full bathroom. -1 with king size bed and en suite bathroom with walk in shower.

An extension was added in 2019 comprising a room with patio windows, with a great view of the swimming pool and the sea, as well as an en suite bathroom This room contains a comfortable sofa bed which enables it to be used as an additional lounge as well as an additional bedroom with facilities to accommodate an extra. 2 people. There is a door between this new room and bedroom 3 which creates a family suite if desired.

All bedrooms enjoy a panoramic view, through the glass doors, of the terrace, swimming pool and bay of Luz.

The villa is on the corner of the entrance to Luz Parque and bordering the Luz to Burgau road. Praia da Luz, with its lovely beach, bars and restaurants, is only a few minutes away by car or a 5- 10 min walk.

On entering the front electric gates, there is a driveway where there is parking for 3 cars. The front door opens into a hallway from which all the rooms lead.

The living room is comfortably furnished and has a 40” flat screen TV with internet streaming of UK terrestrial channels , DVD player and a CD player with radio and iPod docking station and wi fi facility. French doors lead from the lounge to the main terrace which is equipped for al fresco dining. The dining room leads off the lounge and has a large table, 6 chairs and French doors which lead onto an attractive enclosed patio where one can relax on the rattan chairs and make the most of the evening sun. The barbecue in this patio facilitates al fresco evening dining.

The kitchen has only recently been extended and totally refitted to a high standard and is well equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, microwave and all the usual utensils. French doors also lead out onto the same patio and provide easy access to the barbeque area. A small cloakroom is located adjacent to the kitchen.

OUTSIDE: There are spacious patios and terraces, 2 small lawns and a superb private swimming pool (10m x 5m approx) which can be heated at extra cost. Sunbathing furniture and umbrellas are provided. On entering the front electric gates, there is a driveway where there is parking for 3 cars. From the pool terrace there are lovely views of the Black Rock and sea.

“Excellent Villa, good location, good for families”

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Casa Da Palmeiras. We were a group of 6, my wife and I plus our 2 20 something daughters and their partners. The villa is spacious and well appointed, with large living space, kitchen, and patios, so plenty of room for all without feeling on top of each other. The swimming pool is a excellent and we spent much of holiday around pool on the supplied loungers and sun shades.(access to pool is via lockable gate so could be safe for children) The location is good for walking to Luz and the beach,(about 10 mins there, bit of a walk back if weather is hot ), and the town of Lagos is easily reached by car or bus. We hired a car (1 hr drive from Faro airport) but only really used it for trips to supermarket and to and from airport. Villa is on corner close to a relatively main road, it is not to busy, but road noise maybe an issue to some people, it did not bother us. This is the only negative point I can think of.

“Fab stay”

Just returned from a week at this fab villa. It was perfect for our needs and great for small children as the patio area has gates to prevent them going poolside. Beautiful views with so much space inside and out. The owner Ian has been extremely helpful with questions and queries, and the visitor information book at the villa is great for instant answers. Would I stay again? Absolutely!!!

“An amazing home from home villa”

The villa was amazing, a real home from home, all the amenities you could wish for. There was a large pool with plenty off sun beds and patio sets. We also had a fantastic sea view. The villa is in a quiet location but only a short walk down to the two supermarkets, one that will deliver your shopping free of charge. Although we were only there for a week a maid came in and changed the towels and did a light clean. Ian the owner, was very quick to respond to any questions we had and was eager to make our stay an enjoyable one. We hope to return in the near future.
