Stable Cottage is a beautiful romantic flint period cottage set in the heart of the Suffolk Heritage Coast. The stable dates to 1750’s and has been tastefully renovated over two floors. This traditional cottage sleeps two people in comfort and offers the perfect cosy retreat and ideal setting for couples seeking a relaxing holiday or a romantic break. This hideaway is ideal for short breaks and is perfect as a base for touring the picturesque Suffolk coastal area from the market town of Saxmundham.
Stable cottage is just 500 yards (5 mins walk) from the High Street, where there are a number of interesting independent shops. Parking is available on the road just outside the cottage or in nearby car parks.
This beautiful flint cottage, tastefully converted from a stable, is situated in the market town of Saxmundham on the Suffolk coast. This thriving town has a range of shops, restaurants and pubs. Ideally located for RSPB Minsmere and just a few miles from the Suffolk Heritage Coastline at Southwold, Walberswick and Aldeburgh. Snape Maltings, with its famous concert hall and range of shops and galleries, is 4 miles. Perfect for a romantic break, it is also an ideal location for painting or photography holidays, walking, birdwatching, cycling or boating. Direct rail links to London, 90 minutes, from nearby Saxmundham Station. The Norfolk Broads, Norwich and Cambridge are within easy reach. Shop and restaurant ½ mile, pub 100 yards.

Framlingham: 15 mins.
Southwold: 20 mins.
Walberswick: 20 mins.

We live in the house adjoining Stable cottage so generally will be available to welcome guests. On occasions when we are away, arrangements will be made to let you have a key. We will be available by phone or by email during your stay for any questions. We want your stay to be as enjoyable as possible so please let us know at the time of booking if you have any specific requests as well as throughout your stay. Early check in or late check out available by request (additional fee applicable).

“8 month home away from home”
Moved in to stable cottage at the end of April 2020 and have stayed here now for 8 months due to working away. It is a peaceful cottage with everything that you need available, location is brilliant for easy to access to surrounding coastal villages, train station and local shops. The owners are friendly and easy to get hold of, sorting any issues quickly without fuss. The cottage itself is comfortable and clean with a double bed and nice patio for summer evenings. Would highly recommend, perfect home away from home.
