Welcome to our new central Art Apartment.

THE APARTMENT:

Located in the center of Lisbon in one of the finest and charming neighbourhoods, this romantic apartment is on the 1st floor of our building and has 80m2.

This lovely neighbourhood is surrounded by beautiful gardens and museums, cafes, groceries, kiosks, gourmet boutiques, supermarkets, antique shops, galleries and plenty of restaurants..

EXCELLENT FOR ARTISTS, we have a piano and a guitar at the gallery that guests can use.

Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom / WC with a shower, all installed this year.

2 bedrooms, one double and a single one, a sitting room , a large dining area + kitchen.

The 20m2 balcony at the back is excellent for morning breakfast, lunches or diners and overlooks the garden / patio.

Free HI-FI everywhere, CD player and cable TV.

We do not have a garage, as we are in the center of town, parking in the street must be paid for. There is an open space garage 3' away = 12euros per 24h.

We have solar panels and only electricity. No gas in the building.

For those vising Lisbon, the attraction is more the city's life and atmosphere than simply seeing monuments and museums.

Principe Real / Rato is currently the hottest neighbourhood in Lisbon.

It's where more and more independent boutiques are opening and where you find the monumental Embaixada concept store and many museums and gardens.

The apartment has double glazing and for cooler periods, electric radiators are available.

The check-in can be flexible, but if there are guests leaving on the same day, we need time to clean the apartment.

Please let us know in advance if you book the apartment and need to come and work online all day. This flat is not suited for home working. You might need other tables and chairs and we don't have any at the moment.

Late and earlier check-in tax from 22.00 pm. /10.am = 45 euros.

By staying at the new ART APARTMENT you'll be able to take advantage of all kinds of restaurants in the surrounding area and be able to enjoy the majority of your tourist visits around Lisbon on foot.

We provide bed linen and towels and for longer stays we will change towels and linen for you.

Some basic supplies like sugar, vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper, toilet paper, can be found in the kitchen cupboards

Let us also know in advance if you arrive late after all the supermarkets are closed and we can help and try to get you other with different items.

We love animals, but we can't accept any in this apartment. Sorry about this.

If you need a cleaner during your stay, we can find you one =10 euros per hour.

Getting around

RATO METRO is just around the corner . You can take the escalator down or the lift next to the PS Palace. In the square you can find different buses in all directions. To use trams, buses, metro, the train or the boats in the Lisbon area, the best is to buy a ticket on the metro machine = 50c. that you can recharge for a year. Then you can use it when you need . On buses, you can use the same ticket for an hour in and out. . But the best way to see Lisbon is just walking around. You can walk everywhere from our place.

Interaction with guest

We live near by so we will be available to help you if you need. We can also help you with the rubbish system and explain any other information you might need. Just let us know. We will be there to give you the keys on your arrival. PLEASE do not smoke in the apartment. This is a non-smoking apartment.

“Good location and great value”

The apartment is right opposite the Rato metro station, about 10 mins walk to the Barro Alto, and 5 mins to Marques de Pompal, so the location is excellent. At the same time it is in a quiet location with a nice terrace at the back. There is a decent size double and a small single room, which was perfect for us; we visited with a toddler and were provided a cot. The host was friendly and helpful and there are lots of tourist guides and books on art throughout the apartment. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore Lisbon on foot and by public transport.

“Spacious Light Airy Welcoming”

Everything excellent except the Master Bedroom that had no windows. The apartment was spacious with a generous rear terrace and a very well equipped kitchen. Wonderful location with restaurants, a supermarket, bus stop and metro station close-by. Clara, the hostess with the mostest, was very welcoming with lots of useful and practical tips on how to get about and where to go. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
