Description

Welcome to Button Cottage! This gorgeous heritage three bedroomed cottage is situated in Twyford (just off the A1067) in a pretty tree lined loke, with its own stone bridge over bubbling stream. Button Cottage is perfectly located for exploring the Norfolk Countryside and Coast line, with Reepham, Fakenham, Holt and the Coast just a short drive away.

The cottage is over 150 years old and has can sleep 5 in 3 bedrooms. There is a king size bedroom, a double bedroom, both of which have direct access to the luxury bathroom with free standing bath, and a separate shower cubicle with powerful digital shower. There is also a single bedroom which has its own spiral staircase bedrooms, making this a perfect retreat for one or two couples, or a family.

The cottage is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. We have WiFi, freeview 43" television, a Nepresso coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine, induction hob, electric oven, microwave and all the utensils you will need for a home from home, we even have a Sonos system so you can listen to your own music library. The cottage is furnished to a very high standard with high quality bed linen and towels, crockery and glass ware.

Button Cottage has recently (Oct 2015) been assessed by Visit England and we are very proud and honoured to be awarded 5 stars!

“Buttoned”

Reviewed 30 May 2017

Stayed with our friends from the USA who like us were bowled over with all the tiny great details that the owners have created, wish we had known it was so close to the busy road as we needed ear plugs in the front bedroom. Nice touch supplying the robes, think the tap in the downstairs loo is more sculpture than tap. Being very picky and at £830 for 3 nights I think we can be picky the mosaic tile in the main bathroom is a little mouldy Wish there had been a DVD player, but enjoyed playing monopoly. I accept we were over the bank holiday and might look at another date to see if it's better value another time Loved the keysafe

Response from the owner Hi Peter, Many thanks for your 5-star review! We were pleased to hear your made good use of the little 'extras' that we leave our guests, including the robes and a cupboard full of games. There is a DVD Player (actually a PS3) in the cupboard under the TV, which is connected up and ready to use - although it is usually left switched off! We also hope that the Smart TV, with Netflix, iPlayer, Amazon Video, and various other catch-up services, together with the Sonos music player kept you entertained whilst playing Monopoly! We have alerted the cleaning team to the marks on the mosaic tiles - thank you for letting us know. We are honest about the description and location of Button Cottage - in a small loke, separated from the main road by a bank of huge trees and a stream - and, on the plus side, the road gives very easy access to the rest of North Norfolk, making the Cottage the perfect location (we think!) from which to explore the area. We trust that users of the road didn't stop you from having a wonderful, relaxing break.

“Perfect Pet Friendly Stunning Cottage”

Response from the owner Thanks for your kind words! Twyford is very much a rural hamlet, but with pubs and shops less than a mile away, it hopefully captures the best of all worlds. So glad you enjoyed your stay.

“The most perfect Norfolk getaway”

Reviewed 4 Nov 2015

It is obvious the owners use Button cottage as their own getaway. It is immaculately decorated and kept. The photos we saw convinced us that it was an exceptional place to send a weekend, but they do not do Button Cottage justice. Nothing in Button Cottage could be described as "cheap". It is described as sleeping 5 and whilst a smallish property, 5 people could easily stay here for a week and not feel cramped. Decent sized and well equipped kitchen and a largish dining/lounge area, with a funky spiral staircase as one end and a twisting staircase at the other. For convenience, the bedrooms all link together upstairs, so you can go up one staircase and down the other. Large garden to the rear and although the road is relatively close, you not only can't you see it, but you can't hear it either. We explored the area, even though were only there for 2 nights. We would recommend Sunday lunch at the Hamptons, but book in advance! We will go back with friends at some point shortly, as we had such a lovely time.

Response from the owner Thank you so much for your review, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the little touches that make a stay at Button Cottage so pleasurable! We wanted to create a home from home environment both for ourselves and our guests that didn't skimp on style or substance. To that end, we made sure the little luxuries that our esteemed guests may enjoy in their own homes would also be in the cottage. We couldn't live without good coffee which is why there is a Nespresso Coffee Machine, and of course a Sonos Music System so we can all listen to our favourite music. There is no need to worry that you will miss home comforts when staying at Button Cottage, we are so pleased to hear that you will be back soon!
