Our 3 bed/ 2 bathroom villa offers high quality accommodation, combining traditional Alpujarran features with modern comfort & facilities & the perfect base from which to explore Costa Tropical, the Sierra Nevada Mountains & Granada's stunning Alhambra Palace. Parts of the property are more than 200 years old & have been lovingly restored and extended. The gentle incline in depth of the 9m x 4m private pool is enjoyed with confidence by swimmers & non-swimmers alike and with child safety in mind, is both walled & gated. The Pool area offers both sun & shade in which to relax, surrounded by ancient gnarled olives, a fruiting date palm, tropical planting, rustling bamboo, all adding to the poolside experience! Come and soak up the perfumed blossom from our orange & lemon trees & neighbouring groves; enjoy the beautiful landscaped gardens with panoramic mountain views; end the day on the comfortable terrace with its scented planting, in the company of cicadas & a fine Rioja; be amazed by the crystal clear starlit skies. Unwind!

NB.This is a child-friendly villa, with travel cots, highchair, toys available.

The garden planting was designed to give both sun and shade, which we believe adds to the ambience....Also glad you enjoyed exploring the local area and surrounding white villages, there's plenty to explore in Las Alpujarras. We are glad you all enjoyed your stay at our little peace of heaven with its sparkly pool and enjoyed exploring a little of what the surrounding area has to offer, ie white villages, the beautiful cultural city of Granada and one of the coast's water parks at Almunecar. Sorry you felt the need to mark us down for no air conditioning, (which we do not advertise as having), your stay co-incided with an exceptionally hot period and yep, you're right re the air conditioning, it would be lovely to have but not poss, sorry if advertised fans were insufficient. Surprised at prices in Marbella, wish we had experienced that when we went (but did they offer free tapas?!!!) Happy that you managed to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet and all that Casa de la Era has to offer and that most importantly, the kids had a great time too! Hope to see you all again some day!

It's an easy drive to mountains or beach, just right for family holidays and as for starlit night skies.....wow!
