Está situado num local muito tranquilo e calmo com uma fabulosa vista para o mar e para a montanha, a pouca distância da pitoresca cidade de Viana do Castelo, próximo de um ribeiro com lagoas naturais onde pode tomar um banho refrescante e fica perto também de bonitas praias ainda selvagens com areais douradas e recantos abrigados por formações rochosas, boas para a prática de pesca, desportos náuticos, ciclismo ou, simplesmente, para caminhar junto ao mar que se une ao céu azul criando um ambiente de pura descontracção.
Este chalé encantador rodeado de um amplo jardim privado, muito florido, com um bonito chafariz, encontra-se totalmente equipado para uma estadia de máximo conforto. O jardim dispõe de uma barbecue, tornando-se num lugar perfeito para almoços longos e noites românticas observando o mar e o pôr do sol. É o destino ideal para umas férias repletas de tranquilidade, numa perfeita simbiose entre o mar e a montanha, que convida não só a passeios como também aos prazeres da boa mesa e é apropriado para um casal sozinho ou com filhos pequenos.

“Quiet”
Jose was very helpful. He picked us up from the station at Viana do Castelo right on time. He showed us the sights and allowed us to shop at the local supermarket before dropping us off. The accommodation was quiet; equipped with everything we needed, from coffee machine to state-of-the-art Bosch stove. There were plenty of TV channels, 900 songs to listen to; a lovely outside area for us to enjoy the ambience: Atlantic Ocean, and mountains behind. Peace, paradise, the smell of pines and eucalyptus.

“A really lovely and cosy cottage, ideal for a couple or small family”
Jose's place between the sea and mountains a few km. north of Viana do Castelo is delightful. A wonderful view of the Atlantic and the sound of the waves ever present. Set in an almost sub tropical garden with bird of paradise flowers and Proteas flowering even in winter, it will be even better in spring and summer. The inside space is very well thought out and self contained and for December warm and cosy - a lovely wood stove, well supplied with wood by Jose meant we were never uncomfortable, even when it rained all day. Highly recommended and we hope to be back at another time of year.

“Fabulous place to stay, so enjoyed the beautiful garden and fountain.”
Casa do Chafariz is such an idyllic place to stay, we only had three nights during early June but this allowed us to explore Northern Portugal and the local beaches. The house was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities for a wonderful stay. The garden area with BBQ was particularly beautiful and so peaceful, with some spectacular flowers. We had use of bikes, but it was quite hot and hubby doesn't particularly like cycling. We would buy our food and wine at the local supermarket and after a day on the road - Viana do Castelo is well worth a visit, lots of restaurants. We would return to Casa do Chafariz and have a wonderful BBQ, enjoying sitting in the tranquil gardens tasting the local produce and wine!! José lives close by so is very accommodating and his son was an excellent English speaker which helped us when chatting to José. Overall, an absolutely fabulous place to stay! Diane
