Description
Recently renovated to a high standard by the current owners, Marion's Cottage is a well equipped, traditional French Cottage. It is furnished in French Country style but with modern appliances and amenities.
It is handily placed for all the Lower Normandy tourist attractions such as Le Mont St Michel, the WW2 Landing Beaches and Bayeux Tapestry. It is also possible to get a passenger ferry from Granville in the summer months to Jersey or the Iles de Chaussey (French Channel Islands).
The property is well suited to those looking for a relaxing break in the beautiful Bocage countryside of La Manche. With a boulangerie (bakery) in the nearby village of Beauchamps and a supermarket within easy reach, it is well serviced from a retail perspective. The surrounding area is ideal for walking, trout and sea fishing, painting and photography and the beaches are one of France's best kept secrets, with broad expanses of unspoilt and uncluttered sand. There are a number of golf courses within easy reach.
The cottage has a range of traditional French restaurants close by, at least 2 which offer food cooked over a wood fire. Additionally, the area has a multitude of other dining options, many of which showcase the local delicacies of locally reared meats and locally caught fresh seafood, including some of the finest mussels and oysters you will ever experience.
The cottage is ideal for those seeking a quiet, rural location with easy access to all that Normandy has to offer. With any luck you may also get to see our resident red squirrel.
