Description
Quinta da Costeira Cottage is a picturesque granite-walled house rebuilt on an old farmer’s house looking over the river Douro.The house has got five rooms with private bathrooms.Upstairs four rooms and a small sitting-room next to one of the rooms.Downstairs a large sitting-room with a fireplace, a dining.room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a dining-room.The cottage is equipped with everything necessary in a modern house: central heating, TV with foreign channels and different household appliances.There is also an attic with a marvellous view over the mountains and the river Douro. Outside, there is a laundry , a porched barbecue with an enormous ancient wooden table and wooden benches, a swimming-pool and a “jacuzzi”. The house is surrounded by granite-paved yards and green lawns. On the lower part of the farm there is a green garden, with all the vegetables necessary for cooking and a hen house for fresh eggs.
The cottage is in the middle of a farm planted with vineyards, cherry-trees and pine woods, where a large number of birds build their nests and it is surrounded by mountains .It is located in Cinfães, an old village 8 km far from the river Douro and Carrapatelo Dam, famous for being the birthplace of the famous African explorer Alexandre Serpa Pinto.It is rich in old manors and ancient churches dating back to the Middles Ages. The culinary pleasures are also excellent and atractive: roast lamb, rice in the oven, roast veal, grilled meat, partridge paps, chestnut cakes and varied delicacies .This region is unique in the world because it produces the renowned “ green wine”.
Harmony with nature .
The main house of the estate was restored from an old farmer’s house in 2006 , preserving its original décor that combines the rustic with modern elements that give greater comfort to its guests.
In Quinta da Costeira you will find a special place to relax and feel at home as well as to enjoy the green as far as you your sight reaches over the slopes of the Douro.
This is the space for a relaxing holiday in contact with nature and to discover some of the most beautiful areas of the incomparable beauty of the Douro River.

Rustic , cosy and comfortable , the 6 rooms at Quinta da Costeira , distributed by two floors of the house , provide all the necessary rest to better enjoy this space . Timber and earth tones provide invigorating and relaxing time.
The 6 rooms of the Quinta da Costeira are fitted with central heating and offer free internet wi - fi , and 5 of the rooms have a bathroom .
There is also a beautiful attic with a wonderful sight.

Vine and cherry orchard and kitchen garden.
Nothing more invigorating and relaxing than enjoying a walk in the midst of beautiful scenery and smelling the fresh air .
In the open air you can see the vineyards of the Douro and cherry orchard and pick some vegetables for a homemade soup of entirely organic products.Or you can have fresh eggs from the coop.
