Garden cottage is under new ownership
Situated with an expansive view of the River Wang valley,an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty,where cows graze in summer and that also serves as habitat to many birds as well as a wide variety of other wildlife Garden Cottage occupies a quiet and tranquil position that is ideal for a restful and relaxing break in the Suffolk countryside.
We provide a travel cot and high chair.
The detached cottage was built in the early 1980's in a distinctive Arts &Crafts style and offers spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to 5 guests.It has recently undergone a complete program of refurbishment including the addition of an en-suite shower room so that both bedrooms have their own facilities.The spacious kitchen diner opens onto a patio area which in turn leads to a private garden.This feature ensures that it is an excellent place for those with children to stay providing a safe play area where they can be easily supervised while you relax..A twenty five foot sitting room allows ample space whilst inside the property with comfy, squidgy sofas. Electric heating to all areas makes the house cosy and an ideal place whatever the weather is like outside.
All beds have high quality 100% pure cotton bedding.
We have a travel cot and high chair, saving you space in your car for that extra bucket and spade.
Just a five minute walk away the village centre consists of the old A12.This ancient coaching route that originally connected Gt Yarmouth to London is now by passed to form an attractive and pedestrian friendly area with village store,pub and church.Wangford dates back to the eleventh century and much of the main street is comprised of listed buildings that form a picturesque backdrop for a relaxing stroll.
Of course if your tastes extend to wild nightlife Southwold offers a wide range of possibilities with an excellent selection of bars and restaurants.By daytime there are a wide variety of walks around the town,by the old fishing harbour or, crossing the footbridge into the village of Walberswick.
Further afield the market towns of Halesworth (6miles) Beccles (8miles) and Bungay (12 miles) offer many interesting possibilities for shopping,dining or just strolling around looking at the old buildings that proliferate.The fine city of Norwich is
25 miles distant and the old fishing ports of Lowestoft and Gt Yarmouth 10 and 20 miles respectively.To the south the seaside town of Aldeburgh and the nearby Snape Maltings cater for those of a more cultural disposition.
In short,if you are staying at Garden Cottage for a weekend,a few days or a whole week there should be no shortage of things to do.We live on a separate part of the same one acre site as the cottage so if you have any queries or requirements someone is always available to attend to your needs.We are sure that you will enjoy your stay in Suffolk

“Fantastic Family Holiday”
Clean, comfortable and with everything you need for a family holiday. The cottage as a great place to stay. The village, although quiet has a couple of great shops full of interesting local produce. The week went far too quickly.
