Description

Bramble Cottage is a charming, comfortable family home, converted from a 16th century barn. You will find beautiful flint walls, an open plan room full of beams, a log burner and a roll top bath among other features. It is situated in the quiet seaside village of Happisburgh, on a country lane, a short walk from the miles of sandy beaches or nearby pubs and cafes, providing the very best of Norfolk food. Short breaks welcome from September to the end of April, bookable at any time.

Bramble Cottage has been extended in the past to provide two bedrooms and bathroom off the main open plan living and eating area. It sleeps four in two bedrooms and is pet friendly too. The property has some beautiful exposed flint walls, a huge vaulted ceiling in the living area and french doors opening off the main bedroom to the private courtyard garden. It was renovated many years ago, so if you are looking for luxury and brand new features, you won't find it here! However, if you want charm and character, you'll find plenty.

Central heating

Up to two dogs are very welcome for a small charge of £20 per break. Please let me know you have a dog when enquiring and the fee can be added on to the booking before acceptance. No puppies under one year old at the time of the holiday please.

Changeover days are Friday/Saturday or Monday/Tuesday. Short breaks are priced for 3 nights but if you can only stay two then enjoy as late a checkout or an early check in depending on the arrival day. For example arrive Friday and leave late on Sunday, or for the same price by 10am Monday. There is a 4 night minimum at Christmas and New Year.

Getting around

Driving is the easiest way to get around although there are buses. Venture along the coast to the many seaside towns including Cromer, Sheringham or Great Yarmouth. Go see the seals at Horsey beach. Head to Winterton beach for a long walk on miles of sand, with a visit to the cafe after. Visit the city of Norwich or simply explore the beautiful Norfolk countryside.

Interaction with guest

You'll be sent entry instructions two weeks before the holiday, so you're not tied to specific arrival times apart from it being after 4pm. Flexibility is the key! I will send you a digital welcome folder before your stay. There is also a basic paper welcome folder with some suggested walks around the area. For any help the owner can be reached by mobile phone if you have any problems or come direct to me by email or phone and I will contact the owner for you.

“Gorgeous cottage”

“Wonderful trip to Bramble Cottage”

We have had a fab time at Bramble Cottage. Absolutely lovely and totally ideal for our dogs, enclosed garden and most of all 10 minutes walk to the most safe and sheltered beach! Alll was wonderful and close to the coast and broads. Will defo be going again. Wonderful cottage and ideal location. Thank you for a lovely stay and answering questions when we first booked. Andrea

How do damage deposits work?

If Debbie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
