Getting around

Pembrokeshire County Council operate a daily 'Coastal Cruiser' bus service aimed at those who wish to walk sections of the Pembrokeshire National Coastal Path, but require the means to get back to their holiday base at the end of the day. This operates from the first week in May and runs a reduced service over the winter months. Dogs are welcome on the 'Coastal Cruiser' service subject to the driver's discretion. Please look for time tables on line at 'Visit Pembrokeshire'.

Interaction with guest

We believe in offering our guests a 'hands off' holiday experience unless they need us for any reason. On arrival is a personalised letter from our caretaker, fresh flowers, Welsh cakes (mince pies over Christmas and New Year) and a tea tray with a fresh pint of milk to get you started. The open fire is ready to light with a 'starter supply' of logs and coal - additional supplies are available locally. The cottage landline phone makes it easy for guests to contact the caretaker or owner should they require any assistance.

We had a fabulous week in Wood Cottage. The house was spotlessly clean, the kids loved the garden and the woods, and the location is just amazing. Definitely the best holiday house we have stayed in.

Response from the owner We're delighted Hannah chose Wood Cottage, Stackpole Cheriton for her family Easter holiday in 2023. We try to operate this property to the highest professional standards in hospitality and this is clearly evidenced in the review. Hannah, also had the good sense to contact and book with us directly - saving host and guest a considerable sum in on line platform fees. Just find us at woodcottage-stackpole.co.uk ! Response from the owner Margaret - thank you for a lovely review. Yes, our caretaker is fastidious about cleanliness and cottage presentation - and even more so in the current pandemic era. I am only sorry we had to carry over your original booking from June 2020 to June 2021, due to the first Covid-19 lock down. I am so pleased it was worth the wait and we look forward to helping you with a return visit when the time is right for you.
