This all ground floor cottage is in a countryside location two miles from Barnard Castle and sleeps two people in one bedroom.Curlew Cottage is set all on the ground floor two miles from Barnard Castle. The cottage sleeps two people in one twin bedroom. There is also a bathroom, a kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with a multi-fuel stove. Outside there is a patio with furniture and a BBQ where you can enjoy the surrounding countryside views with your morning cup of tea. There is also off road parking for two cars and bike storage. Curlew Cottage is a fantastic choice for a romantic retreat.

Town: The market town of Barnard Castle is situated in the unspoilt countryside of Teesdale in County Durham. It stands on the site of an ancient Roman ford which crosses the river. The medieval ruins of the castle still tower over the river and are well worth a visit. Known affectionately as 'Barney by residents and visitors alike, the town boasts cobble streets, yards and back lanes, which were ?rst laid out in the 12th century. The nearby Bowes Museum is well worth a visit and a wonderful way to spend a day wandering around this beautiful building and experiencing the fascinating exhibitions.
