My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and big groups. Very fresh and clean

Response from the owner We would like to clarify certain points that were erroneously mentioned in this review. When we realized that there had been a system glitch and a double booking happened, we communicated to the guest that we would refund their booking in total and that they were free to pursue other avenues on their own. The guest declined this option and requested our help. Since it was last minute and a very busy weekend here in Ottawa with most occupancy levels at their maximum, we had a hard time tracking down an alternative. We did pay in fact the difference for the first night stay for the guest since the other accomodation was more expensive than ours. Not the whole night’s stay but the difference. Since the guest wasn’t satisfied with the second location, we did promise the refund of the unused portion. The guest requested an e-transfer but we preferred the refund to go through the Trip Advisor platform so it would be official. We asked the guest to request the refund through the platform so that it would be recorded. The guest refused to do so. We contacted Trip Advisor on our own and started the process. We did not ask for a review at any time from the guest. Once Trip Advisor refunded it in the system then we refunded the guest by means of etransfer for the unused portion as promised. We are very sorry about any misunderstanding, we always endeavour to provide excellent service. But at the same time, it is disappointing that the guest wasn’t truthful that they did receive the refund. I have proof that she accepted my etransfer.
