Description

Carpe Diem Villa has 2x Self Catering STUDIO apartments downstairs which are both rent-able separately & are mirror images of each other.

They have separate entrances, but share the same balcony & view across Castara bay-Even from the beds!

Please note 5x night minimum stay. Taken on a Self Catering bases only.

We are traditionally built and completed in 2007 & are located just a short walk off the Northside Road in the friendly fishing village of Castara on the Caribbean side of Tobago which is a perfect place to work remotely or relax .

The two STUDIOS are block built, they are light & airy with high ceilings & have a fully tiled 'wet-room' styled bathroom with shower, hand basin & WC plus hot & cold water.

We have fitted filters on the cold water supply in the kitchens so no need to buy bottled water unless you particularly wish to!

They are the mirror image of each other & have good cooking facilities with a 'proper Saffire' stove & grill ( not a hot plate !!), large fridge/freezer ( large enough for lots of Carib!) crockery & cooking utensils for 4 & all you will need including a liquidiser for all the fruit from the garden -in season

Each studio has a queen size red cedar bed with mosquito nets & sleep 2 people comfortably.

We can provide an extra single bed or child's cot if requested for a third person.

We provide free standing fans + a ceiling fan, although the high ceilings keep all the rooms cool.

All doors/windows are made of local cedar & are louvered.

No need for AC here!

Outside a large balcony has drop down blinds for shade & with table & chairs so that you can eat Al fresco .

Perfect for bird watching & sunsets!

There is separate access to each studio.

There is also a shared BBQ area and pizza/bread oven-check first as sometimes the hens lay their eggs in there!.

Free Wi-fi is available to use if you need to work remotely BUT check with your partner to see if he/she will let you spend time on the internet while you are on holiday!!

Both of the 2 Sandy Beaches are just a short stroll away ( 200 yards ) where you can fish swim, snorkel with the Stingrays, fish or pull the Seine!

We built the house for us and our family and friends to enjoy. The word spread about how good it was so we ended up letting it out to like minded people. You can do as much or as little as you want here.

The main thing is to relax and recharge your batteries.

That is why we call it the 'Great Escape'.

A Bird Watchers paradise. Great local food, fresh fish every day.

In the evening visit the bars and 'lime' with the locals.

Visit the small local restaurants to taste the local cuisine or cook up the fish you caught (maybe) on the house BBQ then relax and dream about the one that got away!

All accommodation is NO SMOKING except on the balconies.

We invest in the local community and there is car hire, local drivers & tour operators available in the village. They can take you Sight Seeing for the day or to a particular event such as Sunday school, festivals, football matches, Being with Horses, Bio Luminance tours, bathing in the Nylon Pool, Chocolate making etc Please ask us for details as we can help you organise personalised tours !

Interaction with guest

We wish you to feel safe & comfortable at our property. We follow the current Covid 19 Regulations which state that all rooms must be cleaned & sanitised to a high standard prior to your visit. Please follow the Covid 19 guidelines & Stay Safe Hand washing, Wearing a Mask, Keep a Safe Distance In order to minimise contact a basket of clean bed linen & fresh towels will be left in the room at the start of your stay, in order for you to change your own bed mid week. Please put your dirty linen/towels in this basket & leave it outside the room so that it can be washed. If you are staying longer another basket of clean linen will be left for you. No housekeeping other than this service is provided. Feel free to ask us or our mgr any Qs

You may smoke outside upon the balcony if it does not disturb any other guests (please check first), using a suitable ashtray & disposing of the buts safely without risk of fire..
Do not bring village dogs to the property, feed them or allow them access to any room
