Villa la Torretta is for those who think differently, for people who are not afraid to embrace different cultures and for ones who are perpetually seeking nourishing and harmonious experiences. Two generations of our family were raised on this utopian land and our mission is to transmit what we have learned to you. Our home is a sanctuary where nature, culture, and history become one, drifting into realities often forgotten in our times.
Property Description: The property is comprised of a classical seaside villa, situated on eleven acres of a botanical garden overlooking the ocean. This land is salve for the senses. The perfume of the myriad of flowers, trees and spices awaken the nostrils. The concerto of the birds and cicadas, punctuated by moments of pure silence, play for the ears. The natural landscape and composition of the house are delightful to the touch, including the Tuscan marble floors made by our ancestors. The wonderful ocean views and the miraculous sunsets accompany you on every walk, awakening your sight to pure beauty. Finally, the delicious creations emerging from our gardens- olive oil, fruits and vegetables- will foster a harmonious alignment of your palate.
Property Location: The property is ideally located on the southern border of Liguria, adjacent to Tuscany, forty-five minutes away from Pisa’s airport- giving exceptional access to the best of both worlds. The towns of Lerici and San Terenzo, in between which Villa la Torretta is situated, are delightful small villages offering a mile-long boardwalk along the curving coastline with beautiful sandy beaches. The bay is dominated by two stunning medieval castles-anchoring each end. The towns are full of delicious restaurants, great walks and a peaceful atmosphere. Strolling in theses towns, you’ll be able to experience the authenticity of Italy.
Nearby attractions are many. In a thirty minutes boat/train/car ride, you could find yourself in the midst of the Cinque Terre. Heading south, with a thirty-minute car ride, you could be shopping and dining in the glamorous Forte Dei Marmi. The countless bays and beaches within walking distance or a short boat ride away offer the cleanest and one of the clearest seas in Italy assigned by the 2017 “Bandiera Blue”. A short car or boat ride will also allows you to visit one of the most charming villages in Italy, Porto Venere. Porto Venere’s picturesque Church of Saint Peter is visible from the property along with the two islands, Tino and Palmaria.
Located at the edge of Tuscany, the house permits you to take day trips to explore its treasures. Lerici is just forty minutes away from Pietra Santa, a village offering some of the country’s most beautiful contemporary art and marble galleries. Forty minutes away is the ancient medieval city of Lucca. One and a half hours away is Florence.

Chef*(Available Upon Conditions): Chef Tess, also known as “The Commandant”, has spent the past thirty years learning the recipes of my grandmother. Most of her food is cooked with products from our own organic, biodynamic garden. Our garden consists of numerous fruits, vegetables and spices, including peaches, plums, oranges, figs, tomatoes, zucchini, beets, lettuce, cucumbers eggplants, aromatic herbs. Most importantly, our fifty olive trees provide the finest extra virgin olive oil, nourishing, healing, and rejuvenating you. We also offer some of the finest fish and meats, wild caught and grass fed.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are included in the price. Fresh squeezed juices and smoothies are available upon request. Meals can be made vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, lectin-free upon request. Two weeks prior to arrival you will be provided with a list of seasonal foods and beverages available in order to receive feedback on your preferences. In addition, a list of local restaurants and groceries stores will be sent.
Butler* (Available Upon Conditions): Marci, the creative mind, will be at your service for any needs around the house and garden.
Driver*(Available Upon Conditions): Anthony, the operating officer, will be at your service for any request, from day trips to different cities to rides to towns and restaurants. One car, seating five, driven by Anthony, is included in the price.
Concierge Service: Alex will be at your service 24/7 for any information, tip or scheduling you might need. Upon request, he will be able to best schedule your stay in order to satisfy any desire: cities to visit, day trips, museums, restaurants, shopping etc.
Yoga: By the pool and overlooking the ocean, yoga is provided upon request, one week in advance. Mats and blocks are provided.
Massages: Also, poolside, overlooking the ocean, massages are offered upon request, one week in advance.
Products: Skin care products, body oils, soaps, and toothpaste are provided- all natural and Ayurvedic.
