Description

Bòggina farmhouse is one of the properties available on the Petrolo winery placed on the south-eastern side of the Chianti hills facing the valley of the Arno, in a lovely quiet area full of charm and history.

We're placed between Florence, Siena and Arezzo, which are only 30-45 minutes away. The house is an ideal base for discovering Tuscan renowned history, art, food and wine being able to get back to Petrolo winery to relax, soaking-in the natural comfort of unaffected agricultural life, maybe diving in our swimming pools or getting to the near Thermal Baths.

The house is surrounded by the green olive groves, active vineyards and beautiful oak woods of the property. Our winery passionately produces low yield organic Award-Winning Wines and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Bòggina is a large house for families and big groups, able to welcome 10 guests with ease in 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms of which 3 are ensuite.

Guests will have all the space needed as the house is on 2 floors, kitchen, 1 living room, a vestibule and covered terrace plus a surrounding garden ideal for dinners al-fresco and Bbq.

For guest not keen driving, the farmhouse is at walking distance from the small village of Mercatale Valdarno (500 m), small gate to Chianti Classico. The village is convenient for a coffee, grocery shops, pharmacy, ATM and restaurant.

Landmark of the estate is the medieval watchtower of Galatrona while precious renaissance works by Giovanni Della Robbia can be found in the old Parish Church of Galatrona. You can visit these charming hidden places with our assistance and include a visit of our winery and tasting of the special wines, olive oil and honey we passionately produce.
