Description
Casa Mondora is a fabulous south facing modern family house nestled in the beautiful Serra Do Açor mountain range right by the banks of the River Alva, adjacent to the popular Praia da Cascalheira (River Beach). There are bars and restaurants within walking distance.
The area is surrounded by beautiful forests which are perfect for hiking and biking and there are numerous quaint river beaches within a short distance.
The main house has three large bedrooms with ensuites, a large modern kitchen, a further shower room, living and dining rooms and a games room with standard pool table. The adjoining annexe has two bedrooms (1 double/1 bunkbeds) with shared bathroom and large kitchen/dining/living space. The home is perfect for large families or two family groups holidaying together.
Extensive gardens surround the home with plenty of sun terraces and lawns for relaxing. The swimming pool (with adjacent bathroom and changing room), enjoys sunlight throughout the whole day and we provide you with loungers and umbrellas for your relaxation. The rear courtyard has rustic kitchen/BBQ/eating area with a shower room/outside toilet.
There is a twin car-port for shaded parking.
Location: 3km from Arganil, 15km from Tábua, both towns having all the necessary local amenities, and 40km from the historic university city of Coimbra.
An hours drive west will take you to the popular Atlantic beaches and an hour east will see you in the Serra d'Estrella mountain range, complete with plenty of snow and a ski resort (winter months)
