Description

8 berth, caravan to rent at Cayton Bay Holiday Park Scarborough. Site open 12 months a year to allow for flexible breaks, both in and out of term time.

Park entertainment is additional costs and only available between certain dates.

What do you get for your money?

8 berth, 2 double beds - 1 is in living room and pull out. 2 twin rooms, one twin room can be converted to small double if required.

Travel cot available on request.

Lounge:

2xfree standing sofas and one chair, dining table with chairs.

Caravan is dressed with a homely feel including sensory lights.

32Inch TV and DVD player.

Open plan living room includes kitchen area, with oven grill, fridge and compartment freezer, fully equipped with pans cooking utensils and glass wear. Tassimo coffee machine, slow cooker, Cake Stand, Tapas Dishes and Curry Tray .

1 bathroom with shower, basin and separate toilet.

Dvds, toys, games, board games, tv with dvd in master bedroom.

Cleaning products, Iron, Table Top Ironing board and hoover provided.

Themed breaks

Caters for romantic breaks, think fizz and chocolate, table decorations -

LED Candles and mood lighting. Children's birthday celebrations, with balloons, decorations and chocolate cake for arrival. Christmas breaks include Christmas tree, festive lights and fizz.

All packages include a surcharge and are tailored to your requirements therefore a price can be obtained upon discussion.

Onsite: walking Out and About - the beach is in walking distance (5 - 10 minutes) Regular bus service to Scarborough and Filey or scenic walks to both these areas along the Cleveland Way.

I am able to provide an activity booking service prior to your trip, if you would like to ensure that all activities in the local area are booked - This is charged based on time and minimum rate is £7.50 per hour plus booking costs.

“Avoid”

We found this caravan to be in a poor state of cleanliness and repair, not like the photos pertray. As we just wanted to get on with our holiday and not make a fuss we decided to get stuck in and do some cleaning. We found the fridge to be dirty, old toiletries left in the shower were dirty, cupboards, drawers were dirty plus many marks and stains throughout the caravan. The fridge froze all our fresh food and made it unduseable. The fire place didn't seem to work nor did the central heating hence the very filthy portable radiators, one or which wasn't working. There were holes in the net curtains, part of the curtain pole was missing. The keep that stops the front door from slamming was brocken. At this point we decided to take some pictures but it was a little late to do anything about it. The big problem and when the fun started is when the bathfoom window handle came off, we just put it back on everytime but on our diparture we got a call from Fioba s as saying it was missing, and now is in the process of psrsueing money for damage we didn't do under the clause that we didn't report it. And to top it of she as accused us or lieing and is now saying the cost as gone up. It just goes to show that if you don't complain and try and make the most of things it will bite you in the bum. Next time we will definitely make a big fuss. Thanks Fiona for soiling it for us.

“Caravan at cayton bay”

Disappointed with standard of caravan ,after my initial complaint of a damp and smelly setee the response of "well I stayed there yesterday and it seemed ok to me " was not the answer I was looking for and then saying "i will have a look at it and let you know how this has happened " and I haven't heard anything since ,so overall annoyed ,never left a review in my life but felt I had to this time .

Response from the owner Following our initial discussion, I checked the sofa and beding you had covered this with. I was unable to feel dampness, how ever a caravan in winter often feels cold quickly when the caravan has not had heating on. I was unable to smell anything on the sofa but have taken your views on board and have used a deoderisor on the sofa to ensure they remain fresh. I'm sorry you didn't receive my update, as I didn't hear from you further, I thought you were satisfied. Thank you Fiona

How do damage deposits work?
