Description
Welcome to our house "oikia Rosa" which is located right next to St. Athanasius gate. You are now in the “Turkish neighborhood” which is one of the many cross cultural neighborhoods of the Old Town. Here you will have the chance to live in a traditional restored medieval home.
The Garden
The oasis like green and luscious garden with citrus trees, bougainvillea and Banana trees will help you capture the magic essence of the Mediterranean atmosphere. The high stone walls surrounding the garden offer privacy and tranquility. From the living room a patio door leads to the picturesque private patio offering a warm welcome. Equipped with tables, director’s chairs, deck chairs and a big umbrella for sun protection and the BBQ area, this the perfect place to relax, read a book or enjoy a glass of wine.On the back you will see the rest of the garden shared with Oikia Blue.
The House
Ground floor: From the entrance, you take access to the comfortable spacious dinning - living room (with fire place, a sofa- bed, screen TV- sat, DVD player, table and chairs), the kitchen and a bathroom.
The kitchen has all necessary facilities for self-catering, including electric cook and oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher, kettle, filter coffee machine, toaster. Plus there is a wash machine and ironing facilities.
In the upper floor there are two bedrooms with double beds air-condition and ceiling fan giving that extra cool breeze for a good night sleep. There is also a bathroom and a shower room.
Our home can accommodate up to 5 people. We provide all necessary linen and towels. Hot water supply is constant, powered by solar energy. All windows and doors have insect protection net. There are also Fire extinguisher, First Aid Kit and a safe. It is available on request a cot and a highchair for a baby.
The neighborhood
Our home is located in a quiet neighborhood near the center, while also sheltered from the noise of the city. All sights of the Old Town, monuments, museums, shopping market, pharmacy and entertainment district with taverns, restaurants and bars, are within a 5 - 10 minute walk from the house. In the picturesque streets surrounding the house you will find monuments, mini markets, bakeries, tourist’s accommodations and souvenir shops.
Transportation
Just outside the Gate of St. Athanasius, (2 min. walk) ,there is a taxi station and a bus station (suburban & urban) leading you to the beaches and beyond. There is also free parking space available right next to St. Athanasius gate.
Before your arrival we will send you detailed information on how to reach the house.Inside the house you'll find a Welcoming basket and a manual full of information and tips for your stay.

“Lovely house, bright and colourful”
We had a wonderful holiday in Rhodes and felt very safe in these uncertain times. Our accommodation was very comfortable and colourful and in a good location to explore the old town and beyond. Dora was always very helpful with any information we asked for, we would definitely recommend this property.
