Description

Our property is set in 80 acres of unspoiled French countryside and the rural setting means peace and tranquility for you to enjoy your holiday.

Jungle Lake had been stocked with plenty of carp in the 10 - 30+lbs range. The lake also contains some tench to 4lbs and black bass. The fish are fed on a daily basis over the winter to attain maximum growth potential.

The 1.5 acre lake is over 300 years old and surrounded by beautiful mature woodland so it is very quiet and secluded. The maximum depth is about 2m at the dam end and there are plenty of features to fish to. The ideal number of anglers on the lake is two or three, the maximum number of rods being 6, so there is plenty of room to fish without over-pressurising the water.

There is a well-appointed 6.5m caravan which is off-grid (power is supplied by solar panels) with a separate adjacent bathroom which has a shower, basin and loo. The caravan has one permanent large double bed, a pull-out double sofa bed plus one single bed (made by converting the dining area). The kitchen has a large fridge with freezer compartment, gas oven and hob and a sink with hot & cold water. All crockery, pans, utensils etc. are supplied.

The covered terrace is an ideal place to appreciate the lovely views down the lake and to enjoy a meal cooked on the barbecue.

You can either use the cooking facilities in the caravan, or have the food package (details on Specimen Lake page) which will be brought to you by the lake.

In order to make your holiday arrangements as easy as possible we also offer tackle hire (see below) and airport pick-up from either Bordeaux or Bergerac or at the local train station in Montpon at a nominal extra cost.

You can hire a bait boat (a refundable deposit of 60€ is required).

We can also provide you with our own in-house carp pellet which is available in 4mm or 15mm, as well as boilies in various flavours. pop-ups, etc.

Rent of tackle & bivvy includes (per angler):

3 x carp rods

1 x carp chair

1 x rodpod

1 x set of scales and sling

1 x carp unhooking mat

1 x landing net & 1 bivvy

Angler to supply reels, buzzers, terminal tackle, sleeping bag and torch. Please note that terminal tackle and bait are not supplied as part of the package, but can be provided at an extra cost, if required.

We are happy to go and get any extra things you may need whilst you are here - fishing stuff, bait, shopping etc, or to get things in ready for your arrival.

You will have the possibility to borrow sheets, bath and hand towels and kitchen and tea towels (for an extra charge: sheets 15€/person - bath towels 5€/person - kitchen and tea towels 3€) and to choose for the cleaning service at the end of your stay (for an additional 65€).

We will also pick up any shopping or bait etc. you may want and you can come up to the house to take advantage of the wifi.
