Description

LE KIWI is just 1 of our 7 fully self catering Gites here at "Mas Saint Antoine", this 17thC renovated farmhouse & converted outbuildings that make up the 7 gites is set in 2/3rds of an acre amidst open fields & orchards. Being on the main road between Avignon and St-Remy we are ideally situated for exploring all the best that Provence has to offer with no greater drive than 60mins to see it all. Our grounds have been fully landscaped into various garden themes and include a 12 x 6m swimming pool, summer house, a pond with waterfall, 300 year old olive trees and several secluded seating areas dotted around the grounds.

“Le Kiwi” (35m2) is a converted barn with the original barn doors replaced by a large double glazed frontage with double doors. This lovely self-contained studio gite consists of 2 main rooms, the 'back' room is brightly coloured & contains the fully fitted kitchen is equipped with fridge freezer, a gas hob & oven combination unit, dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker etc. There is no direct sunlight however there is sufficient lighting to overcome this. Within this back room is a small separate bathroom with glassed in shower, WHB and WC. The 'front' room is divided, or not by a chiffon curtain, the 'bedroom' area contains the queen size metal four posted bed, a free standing wardrobe & shelf unit, a bookcase with radio/CD player on top with a selection of various music CD's. The front most 'lounge' area contains 2 chairs, side table & lamp and large antique cupboard unit, on top is a small TV with the option of French OR English free to air channels and DVD player. Out front you have your own shaded terrace with table & chairs for outside dining & includes your own gas BBQ.

All linens and bathroom towels are supplied free of charge. Free access to separate pool towels is also available. Laundry facilities including free detergent, is shared with the other guests on a rotational basis.

Getting around

Whilst a car is recommended seeing the sights can also be achieved by using public transport. Mas Saint Antoine is a 10min walk from the nearest bus stop on the "57" bus route between Avignon & Saint Remy de Provence. The bus terminates at the Gare Routiere just outside the walls of Avignon where you can connect to other bus routes and at the other end in the centre of Saint Remy de Provence, during the high season the route continues to Arles.

There are 6 other gites on the property who share the same gardens & pool.

All children MUST be supervised at all times in the gardens & around the pool.

Smoking is allowed outside on your own terrace or balcony.

NO parties, gatherings, loud noises, music or loud talking outside after 11.00pm.

Well behaved dogs are welcome, (daily fee applicable) MUST not bark, MUST be on a leash while on the property & MUST not be left alone inside the gites. There are free range chickens on the property.
