Description
This lovely gîte is located in the small hamlet of Port Martin, just 850m from the village of Langon-sur-Cher on the edge of the beautiful Sologne region in the Loire Valley of France. Along with the owner's property, it is set in a 2 acre garden with beautiful views of the countryside and situated between the River Cher and the Berry Canal.
On the ground floor of the cottage there is a kitchen/diner and living room with a double sofa-bed. Bathroom with large modern shower and toilet. On the 1st floor there is one large room with a superking bed which can be separated into two single beds if required in addition to a double sofa-bed. Electric heating included. Sheets and towels are provided.
The guests have exclusive use of the large swimming pool (11m x 5m) for a few hours per day - the times can be flexible and can be arranged with the owners when you arrive. Guests can also use the ping-pong table or basketball net which are located in the barn or can enjoy a kick-about with a football in the large main garden.
Guest wishing to explore the area have many options whether it is visiting the 13th century medieval village of Mennetou sur Cher, kayaking on The Cher in Chabris or Chatres sur Cher or visiting one of the many chateaux in the region. Guests who prefer to get closer to nature could visit some of the many lakes and forests nearby or just go for a stroll along the River Cher or the Berry Canal.

Even though we'll never be millionaires from the gîte we take it very seriously and put in a lot of effort to make sure that people are happy with it. We also try to price it so it's rented out for most of the season rather than trying to get top prices and having it empty.
