Description

Stunning views from this bright and well equipped duplex. Visit us at www. apartment-saintraphael. com. Penthouse with a terrace as large as the apartment itself. Included is access to the large seasonal swimming pool (please check for this year's dates) in a modern building with secure underground parking - well maintained grounds and wonderful sandy beaches or rocky coves within walking distance.

The master suite is on a separate level to the rest of the apartment and is made up of a bedroom, bathroom and a separate toilet with its own private balcony overlooking the sea and Lion de Mer Island.

On the floor above the two bright, twin bedrooms share a bathroom and also have a separate toilet. All beds and bedding to high standard for a really good nights sleep.

The sitting room and dining area onto an extremely large terrace with views to Saint Raphaël bay reaching to St Maxime and St Tropez. There are two dining areas to choose from depending on the angle of the sun and a chic seating area for cocktails.

The apartment has air-conditioning with a flat screen TV and a DVD player. WIFI runs throughout the apartment. For that extra feel of luxury we have installed a freestanding large capacity ice machine so you never run out or have to fill ice trays. Of course there is the all important Nespresso machine. A wine fridge (in addition to the kitchen fridge) allows for plenty of space to chill the rosé. And for functionality there is a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave.

Pop across the road to the Port Santa Lucia where there are a wide variety of restaurants and bars catering to all budgets, a supermarket (open 7 days a week from 8am to 7.30pm), tabac, deli, and fishmonger in the marina.

Stroll right along the seafront to Saint Raphaël town with its sandy beach or Frejus Plage just beyond. Wander left to a beautiful quiet cove set in amongst the cliffs ideal for snorkelling and rock jumping.

Take a trip in the car to the 800m white sandy beach at Saint Aygulf, Agay, Boulouris, Frejus old town, Saint Maxime, Grasse, or St Paul de Vence. Take a train from Saint Raphaël along the Riviera to explore Cannes, Nice, Eze, Antibes and Monaco. Walk to the ferries from Saint Raphael to take in the sights of St Tropez or the secluded Island of Porquerolles or enjoy an excursion trip to Île St Marguerite or Les Calanques de L'Esterel.

The sailing school is next to the marina where you can learn sailing windsurfing at very reasonable prices or just rent the equipment.

A really wonderful place to spend a holiday with regular seasonal firework displays, carousels, local provencal produce markets, a water sports centre, mini golf, diving, extensive shopping for all budgets, a fresh fish market, hiking in the Esterel Mountains nearby or just relaxing on the beach and swimming in the sea or the pool.

Getting around

There is a little bus that travels regularly from outside the apartment to town along the sea front, but it is a pretty short walk and very attractive walk into town. It has a large station and coach station where it is very easy to take day trips to Nice, Cannes, Monaco, Italy and there are ferries to Saint Maxime, Saint Tropez and local islands.

“Fantastic penthouse condo in great location.”

What a great place to stay, this top (4th) floor flat impresses from the start... Nicola (the owner) was brilliant, checking we would be able to meet our handover with the lovely Christine in good time before leaving the UK, and on hand if needed when collecting the keys. On arrival we found the grounds secure, gated, and immaculately kept; the car park is shielded from outside view, and the lobby's lift is a welcome perk after a flight. The flat is split on two levels, each with a lavatory and bathroom. Downstairs has a double-bedroom with it's own balcony overlooking the sea, and upstairs two twin-single rooms at the rear. A spiral stair joins the two, leading up a welcoming open-plan seating space as your attention quickly shifts outside: head out of the glass french doors and onto the roof-top veranda, which extends around the right side of the property to overlook the sea, coast, and town in the distance, capturing the sun from 9am to sunset. Heading back in, you'll notice a dining table beyond the stairs and a handy kitchen, with oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and ice-maker - everything you need for your stay. Very well presented, the flat's decor is tasteful with many homely touches, and we felt completely at ease in minutes. Linens and towels were provided, everything was spotless, clean, just waiting for us to arrive and enjoy it! Town is a pleasurable 15 minute walk away, but many restaurants are to be found in the marina opposite. Of note is that the ground's pool is for residents only, however this was not an issue for us with the sea so close beyond the marina, and great beaches at St. Raphael. Nicola, thanks once again for having us - we're looking forward to returning to St. Raphael, and it looks like we've just found our preferred accommodation!
