Description

'Flint Cottage' is a pretty Single-Storey Holiday Cottage, Rated 4-Star by Visit Britain (English Tourist Board) in the Historic Market-Town of Saxmundham - close to the unspoilt Suffolk Heritage Coast.

The Cottage is fully-equipped for an enjoyable stay, and our Rental Rates are inclusive of bedlinen & bath towels.

This charming 2-bedroomed single-storey Holiday Cottage has a Log-Burner in the cosy Living Room - so prefect for Winter Holidays too.

For summer, there is a pretty (private) Courtyard garden at the back of the Cottage - with a table & 4 chairs. The sunny (separate) Dining Room overlooks the Courtyard garden.

There are two spacious double bedrooms - one with a Double bed, and the other can be arranged as with a Kingsize Double or as a Twin room (with two 2’6 single beds). Both bedrooms have built-in wardrobes, plenty of drawer-space, plus a hairdyer.

The Kitchen has Period Features such as a butler sink, and hand-built Pine Dresser - stocked with plenty of crockery. There is an Electric cooker, large fridge-freezer, microwave & washing machine. The Bathroom has a full-length bath, with a Shower over the bath.

'Flint Cottage' is located in the historic market-town of Saxmundham, and is just 2 mins walk to the High Street - shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants & Supermarkets.

Saxmundham is an ideal location as a base for holidays in Suffolk. It's just 4 miles from Snape (5 - 10 mins drive) and 8 miles from Aldeburgh (15 mins drive) on the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

With the A12 less than 1 mile away, it is also within 30 mins drive of all the places you'll want to visit: Southwold, Orford, Walberswick, Framlingham, Thorpeness, Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings, Woodbridge, Halesworth, RSPB Minsmere & AONB Dulwich Heath.

This is a perfect Holiday location for Birdwatchers, Walkers - with several bird Sanctuaries and Nature Reserves nearby. There is also Golf, Shooting, Fishing, Horse riding, and sailing/boating.

Getting around

There is a very good Public Transport Service locally, with buses running to many of the towns and villages nearby. From Saxmundham Mainline Railway Station you can get a train to Woodbridge, Ipswich, Lowestoft, Halesworth (and from there a bus to Southwold).

The owner or Housekeeper will meet you at the Holiday Cottage at the agreed time on the day of your arrival. We are available in advance to answer any queries, give directions or travel tips, or suggestion of where to stop off on route for lunch. We like to make sure guests have arrived safely, and show them around their Holiday Cottage and make sure they have everything they need. We are on hand during your holiday if you have any queries or would like suggestions of places to visit - but only if you need us.

How do damage deposits work?

If Dawn (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
