Description
This property is a two bedroom barn conversion situated at Harwood Dale on the outskirts of Scarborough. It has retained many of its original features, oozing charm and character with beamed ceilings and a warm cosy inviting feel throughout. It is ideally situated between Scarborough and Whitby within North Yorkshire Moors National Park on a working farm. It is an ideal location for walking and cycling enthusiasts, or for exploring the stunning North Yorkshire Moors and coastline.The bustling seaside resort of Scarborough is within easy driving distance and the property is within very easy reach of Whitby and Pickering. Horse riding, golf and fishing all available locally. We have two other cottages on site so please contact if multiple cottages are required for a larger party booking.
Lots to see and do locally. Harwood Dale is surrounded by outstanding countryside without being miles away from civilisation. Scarborough has beautiful beaches and plenty to do including the theatre. Whitby and Pickering are very easily accessible and there are several quaint fishing villages to explore including Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby. North Yorks Moors railway and Dalby Forest are within close proximity with excellent cycling and of course 'Go Ape' for those looking for something more adventurous to do.
The cottage itself is one of three at this particular site. Batty Barn, Swallows Nest and Bramble Cottage are all detached properties set on a working farm. The farm has cattle, sheep and chickens on site. Free range chickens roam round part of the farm yard area and we have approximately 150 acres where the stock is put out to grazing at various times throughout the year.

“Cosy retreat”
This converted farm building had everything you could wish for - Very clean, warm, fantastic facilities, great views and a lovely welcome pack on arrival. Only 15 mins drive from Scarborough. Walled garden which was great for the dog to go out and watch the chickens!! The owner was very helpful and quick to respond. If you want somewhere to chill out and relax, you will struggle to find anywhere that will beat this place on price, location and quality! We shall definitely be back.

“Excellent stay”
You arrive on a lovely farm in the middle of nowhere with gorgeous views but you can get to Scarborough in fifteen minutes.You have the best of both worlds.The cottage is immaculate and fully equipped.I am a difficult person to please when it comes to cottages but i cannot moan about anything. Owners friendly and available but completely leave you to enjoy your stay.I will be back...dogs loved it xx
