Description
The ensuite bedroom is cosy and private with a double bed and overhead fairy lights, perfect for a couple. Then two single beds are located in the open plan lounge area, these double as comfy couches when not in use. See a picture to get an idea of the space and the beds.
You will be glad to know it's not a typical apartment in a building complex boxed together with lots of other apartments.
Guest Access
POOL: We have a nice big shared pool which your kitchen double-doors open up on so bring a cozzie.
BARBECUE AREA: Outside the kitchen next to the pool is an open area to make a fire, sit and relax. The shop nearby has some fantastic 'Boerewors', a South African speciality sausage to be cooked on the fire.
CLIMBING WALL: We have a small sideways climbing wall on the wall in the alley. Fun for all ages.
WASHING: Speak to Beauty the househelp about having washing done. She won't charge anything so we encourage you to give her a tip for the extra work.
Interaction with Guests
There is pretty much always someone on the property to help out. I am around most of the day, Cathy works in an office on the other side of the property and our cleaner Beauty works here full time in the week (watch out - she's a total charmer!)
The Neighborhood
CENTRAL & SAFE: If you are wanting to be central to all Cape Town's attractions, yet be in a safe and peaceful neighbourhood removed from the stressful hustle and bustle of the city then this is perfect for you. We are located in a cul-de-sac on Table Mountain overlooking the city.
PARK & COFFEE SHOP
We live 100m up the road from a fenced off park with a cafe. The park is really safe and the chocolate cake at the cafe is fantastic!
TABLE MOUNTAIN WALKS: There are some really stunning walks that start at the top of our road. We are locals so we know the scenic routes!
Getting around
A private taxi which holds 4 people from the airport to your accommodation is ~R250 / $20
The city center is 15 minutes walk down the hill.
You can rent a car from the airport and drive here in 15-20 minutes. If you are looking to save money, there is a cheaper car rental place down the road from us called ''Rent a Cheapie''.
Private taxi's are under R12 per km and will collect you from your door - We will recommend a company for you.
We are 100m from the MyCiti bus stop. You can take a bus directly from the airport, just remember that our bus system is not as frequent as most developed cities (1 hr intervals off-peak and closes at 9pm).
