Description

Located high up on Geneva Drive, this villa offers beautiful ocean and mountain views and is perfect for a family reunion or large groups travelling together.

This villa is built over two levels; the upper level consists of a large open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen area. Patio doors open up on to a large outdoor terrace (also with its own dining table and chairs) and wrap around balcony. This upper level also houses two of the bedrooms (both ensuite). This entire area enjoys views on to the garden and pool area, and to the ocean beyond.

This is an ideal area to enjoy leisurely summer lunches or relaxing sundowners as children play in the garden below.

On the lower level of the house are four en-suite bedrooms (including the expansive master bedroom with its own walk-in cupboard and large bathroom). Each of these bedrooms opens up onto the garden area via large glass sliding doors.

The garden, although not big considering the size of the house, offers plenty of space to runaround and the pool is large enough to swim lengths.

Air-con is not available throughout the property.

There are lots of stairs from the parking to the entrance of the villa.

HOUSEKEEPING

This home has housekeeping Sunday - Friday excluding Saturdays and Public Holidays. Additional housekeeping can be arranged for these days on request.

LOAD SHEDDING BACK UP

All of the lights, the entertainment, wifi and all of the plugs work during load shedding. There is also a gas stove. The air-conditioning and geysers do not work during loadshedding.

Response from the manager Dear Brigitta We are sorry that the pool was out of commission for your arrival, however we stand by our assessment that the reason for the pool not being blue was an impact of the drought. After the pool level dropped we couldn't get the required water to the property any quicker than was done. We acknowledge the incident impacted on your stay but it was due to circumstances outside of our control as such we did not offer any compensation, I do realise this cuts no mustard with you and that you believe it was poor pool management. We have never had to deal with a situation as dire as we are experiencing now and we know there are more frustrated guests like you after this season in Cape Town. In nearly every room the curtains are either falling off the hooks because the end runners are missing and the hems are down dragging on the floor and they are all very dirty. Thank you we have raised this 2. There is no air flow or fans/air conditioner in the flatlet at the bottom hence the room is very hot. There is a standing fan in the cottage however we have recommended an aircon due to its West facinng location 3. We had a severe sewerage blockage problem which caused a nasty smell. Thank you for reporting this on the saturday monring and (as with the point below) the plumber attended to this as soon as possible. 4. The dishwashing machine was not working properly and the cleaning cycle had to be repeated several times in order to clean the dishes. We had the plumbers out within hours to attend to this 5. The kitchen was short or inadequately equipped or the equipment is old and outdated. We had no wine bottle opener for instance. We have replenished some of the missing items - thank you for raising this. 6. The shower in the bedroom downstairs at the far end of the passage was not working properly and water only trickled out of it. We have seen to this since and cleaned out the filters which has improved the flow. The lime content in the water often blocks the flow. 7. The braai facilities are totally inadequate. Thank you. we have reported this to the owner. We look forward to welcoming you back next year for the Cape Argus! Many thanks Team Nox

Response from the manager 100 Geneva is a large Villa and really is ideal for groups travelling to the Cape. We apologize for the lack of internet and we will review this for future bookings. In general though, it is vital to note that our connectivity speeds cannot be compared to those in the states. Allerdings gebe ich Ihnen Recht (davon abgesehen das 100 Geneva eine 'self catering' Ferienwohnung ist): es sollten mehrere Einrichtungen (sprich Töpfe) zur Verfügung sein. How do damage deposits work?
