Description
Cosy cottage annex with log fire and exposed beams that sleeps two people in a double room. Located on the edge of Shalford village just two miles south of Guildford and in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Within walking distance there are good pubs, the village shop, coffee shop and restaurants. The bridleway out the front gives excellent access to walking and cycling in beautiful countryside.
The cottage has a large open-plan living area that was converted from an old dairy and has wonderful exposed beams. At one end are the sofas around a log fire, at the other, a dining table and the kitchen. There is a TV and DVD player. The kitchen has a two ring hob and a small combi oven which can grill and microwave as well as being a conventional oven.
Off the hallway, the bedroom has a comfortable king sized bed and enough space for a travel cot - we can provide one if needed, along with a high chair. The bathroom is a good size with WC, basin and bath with shower.
All of the rooms are on the ground floor, there are just a couple of steps outside to get to the front door. The cottage has central heating and WiFi throughout. Washing machine and tumble dryer are located in the guest laundry room in a neighbouring building.
The cottage is located in the grounds of our house but is accessed via its own entrance. There is parking for your car behind electric gates. For keen cyclists we can provide locked, indoor storage for your bicycles. There is a dedicated seating area outside, which looks over our garden. Gas BBQ available on request.

“Our Dagley cottage stay”
Had a lovely stay at Dagley cottage, everything was perfect, clean and spacious. Ideally situated Guildford and surrounding Surrey area even down to Brighton and Bognor Regis.

“Lovely quiet cottage”
Beautiful cottage garden and village. Warm and well equipped. Owners really helpful with advice re local area. Plenty of pubs, takeaway and village shop well stocked.

“Cosy, welcoming cottage in friendly village”
The cottage was really cosy, incredibly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It's in a good location in the village with great transport links. We will definitely come back.

“Cosy cottage in excellent location”
Cottage exactly as in pictures warm and cosy absolutely everything there that I required. Slept like a log bed so comfy. Log fires made nights in extra special. Joanna welcoming and helpful throughout stay. Will definitely be back when I visit UK

“Everything you need for a pleasant stay.”
Had a great week at Dagley Cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Nice food tray left to get us started. Made the most of our National Trust membership whilst we were there. Would recommend

Response from the owner Many thanks for taking the time to write a review. Shelving for the bathroom is on my list to rectify, so should be done shortly. The door is more tricky as it's an old wooden building which moves with the changes of season and the humidity, but I will see what I can do!
