"Beautiful view from a comfortable, well-equipped cottage"

The only reason I hesitated to give this delightful cottage 5 stars is that I am afraid that it will be booked solid from now on. There was nothing that we didn't like here. The view of the "pond" (We would call it a lake.) is serene and provided several beautiful sunsets. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, the instructions for everything from where to find the key to how to use Apple TV and wifi were plentiful and clear. The owner responded quickly by email to two questions we had and was most gracious. Although it was not a problem for us, it should be noted that this is essentially a large studio space - the sleeping alcove cannot be closed off from the living area, so privacy for members of a group is not possible. This is best for a couple or a family not requiring privacy from each other. We used the cottage as a base for biking and sightseeing. The Sandwich Glass museum is fascinating; and we enjoyed a nearby guided kayaking trip into a local marsh for bird-watching. The pond is fine for swimming, and the cottage has its own small pebbly beach for swimming and launching rented kayaks. We found more to do than we could fit into one week and hope to return to this cottage next year to continue our explorations.
"Idyllic cottage and setting in historic Sandwich"

Mary Rice has a beautiful, well maintained and provisioned cottage accommodation. The cottage has everything a family could need for an extended stay including a lovely veranda and outlook over her garden. Mary was very friendly and happy to help with tips for our stay. The cottage has a serene feel and really helped us relax and fully enjoy our one week stay in Cape Cod. A great location to explore all that historic Cape Cod can offer with its towns and beaches.
My family had a great time at this beach house. Grandkids loved it. Beach was a bit rocky but they made it work. The house had everything we needed. Thank you.
One suggestion would be screens on the windows.
