A stunning Magical home ,perfect for groups of friends, family celebrations, reunions and family holidays , Kennox is the ancestral home of the Mcallister clan dating back to the 17th century when it was the home of the Earl of Sommerville. It is steeped in scottish history and is right in the heart of Burns country. despite its feeling of seclusion and solitude Kennox is but a short drive from bustling cosmopolitan life and world class shopping in Glasgow with a twice hourly train service taking your straight into the city centre in just 30 minutes . With its own tennis court , 20 acres of private woodland,home to Deer ,foxes , badgers ,squirrels and pine martens, this a really magical house , it also has its own duck pond and private river running through the property (your party would have fishing rights for the duration of your stay ).Situated with easy access to the championship golf courses of Troon and Turnberry, as well as many other courses , Ayrshire is considered by many to be the home of golf Kennox is a golfers paradise and for the romantics amongst you there is a wonderful old bothy which with its riverside location and wood burning stove is a wonderful place to cosy up around the fire pit at night .the woodland areas provide hours of exploring for the adventurous and a great tree house to hide away from the grown ups in ! The house itself is huge about 7,000 sq feet with a Drawing room with grand piano , a comfortable TV room with 60 inch TV , a formal dining Room , absolutely massive kitchen with , as any self respecting country home should have , an Aga ,a games room in the basement complete with table tennis table, a 'club' room /study for getting away from everyone ,acres of grassy areas for cricket ,volley ball , badminton and family games , oh and did i mention its very own tennis court and pavilion ! .

House rules
We would love you to bring the whole family to stay but please be aware there is a large duck pond and a river very close by the house , so we would advise great caution if considering Kennox with small adventurous children because of safety.
