Our family stayed at Fort Point Cove Cottage in Late May/Early June, 2015 and couldn't have been more pleased with our time there. The setting is just beautiful and simply looking out over the back lawn and to the Bay brought an instant feeling of calm and relaxation, a sight we enjoyed daily whether it was the sun shimmering on the water, the fog rolling in over the Cove on an overcast day or the amazing colors of the sky after a storm, it was a spectacular view and one we never tired of. The Cottage is centrally located in the quaint town of Stockton Springs, a perfect location to see Rockland, Camden and Boothbay Harbor to the south or Stonington, Bar Harbor and of course the beauty of Acadia to the North. The towns of Bucksport, Belfast and Stockton Springs quickly became our favorite close haunts to explore the small villages and their harbors and waterfronts. The Cottage itself is fully equipped with everything you need, is exceptionally clean and well taken care of, comfortable, quiet and relaxing. In addition, the Owner, Darlene, has added so many personal touches for your comfort that you truly feel both at home and pampered. Even our Golden Retriever, Chase, was treated to Darlene's special touch with his own bed, toys and bowls for his enjoyment. I can't say enough about helpful and generous these Owners are with their home and their time and assistance should you need it during your stay. Be sure to visit The Good Kettle or Just Barbs in Stockton Springs, breakfast was great at the Harbor View Grill in Bucksport and don't miss the Dairy Port or Crosby's for ice cream in Bucksport too. All in all, this was a great vacation in a wonderful home! Thank you Darlene for all your help in making our time there so pleasant and enjoyable! We would recommend a stay here to anyone wanting to experience Maine and all it has to offer!!

Tranquility on Penobscot Bay was truly a wonderful experience for my entire family! Everything we needed was supplied and the house was very spacious and comfy! All of the beds had great mattresses which was so nice. The kitchen was well stocked. We loved the big yard surrounding the house and the blueberry bushes right off the side porch was an added plus! Every morning my grandchildren went out and picked their own berries for breakfast! We were in the area to attend a wedding at French's Point which was located just a few miles down the road! It was so convenient to participate in wedding events throughout the week! On our one rainy day there, we made a fire and just relaxed in the spacious living area! Loved having a gas grill out on the large deck that wrapped around the house and we used it almost every night! Rocking chairs on the deck for early morning coffee, too! The ages in our family went from 60's down to 1 year old and everyone had the best time ever! Would return to this special home in a heartbeat!
Sandy, thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay at the Fort Point Cove Cottage. I have especially enjoyed the pictures of your beautiful family and the wedding that took place at French's Point. Your grandchildren are just adorable and I so enjoyed seeing the fun they had picking those blueberries along the side porch and watching the train go by on that rainy day. The highlight that you have shared with me is the thoughtful picture book of your Maine vacation that your children made for you. You are blessed with a wonderful family. Please come back and visit us on the cove......our home is always yours! All the best in travel, Darlene and the Keepers of Fort Point Cove Cottage.
